So, so much better than the Arcata post office! I am so glad and relieved that I transferred from the Arcata post office to the Bayside post office. Faster, better parking, more professional staff, superlative customer service and much nicer people. All the heroes are the people who serve customers well. That's the heart of customer service. — Tom Peters—————————————The only time you truly know that the customer is #1 is when you read it in the corners and cracks of the organizations. — Tom Peters—————————————Willard Marriott Sr. read customer complaint cards for 56 consecutive years. One colleague told a story about Marriott's obsessiveness about quality and servicing customers. "I was out in Maui where Mr. Marriott in fact spends his winters now most of the time. I've known Mr. Marriott for awhile, he said, and on the first day after his arrival there was a raucous pounding on my door at 2:45 am in the morning and what is it? It's Willard Marriott Sr. at 2:45 am fully dressed. "Come on Reese," he says, "Let's get down and check the kitchen set up." Mr. Marriott's into kitchens. Mr. Marriott would not be appreciative if you called him a professional manager. Mr. Marriott's a hotel man, pure and simple. And he focuses directly on the delivery of service in the hotel. That's where he spends 80-90% of his time.———————————————

Quirky, small town vibes.

Best post office ever. There is usually nobody there so you just walk up to the counter with no line. Employees are nice and know their stuff. They are super efficient and fast with shipping and tracking. 24 hour access to your PO Box. I debated leaving this review, it's the kind of place you want kept a secret.

Every experience I've had at this post office has been so miserable. The employees are extremely dismissive, rude and they don't want to give your problems a chance. They want you out as soon as possible. Just me going in for something as simple as stamps and I'm getting treated as an inconvenience. Even the supervisor can't assist me with an issue of someone else's mail coming to my house. I've come in twice with this issue and she gives me a quick "it's the machine that's picking up the name and there's nothing i can do about it" and walks away. A nice employee suggested to go to the Bayside office and that I'll do from here on out.

The people are nice. The problem is the locals go through mail and illegally steal it in eureka and onthe way out in redding. The more you know. The counter crew is amazing.

One of my favorite postal services I have been to, very helpful and kind of a hidden gem.

The women behind the counter has a real attitude problem. Maybe she could get switched out to sorting boxes in the back so we don’t have to deal with her.

The employees at this post office are both efficient and courteous. I often send packages to my family throughout the year. Many times the employees offer choices for the best and most cost effective way to send my packages . They also offer great greeting cards and an array of beautiful postage stamps. I love this post office! Blessings to the employees.

Small, woodsy, yet all the stuff a post office should have.
