On 3/9/24, my boyfriend and I broke down in Tehachapi on the way to my cousins wedding. Although we didn't make the wedding, we did meet these incredible people. We had our Kia towed to their business and were greeted with optimism and kindness. They had our Kia done in a little over 24 hours, whereas other garages couldn't see us for over 72+ hours. These guys are fast, honest and amazing. I'm so happy we found them! Angels do exist!

My nightmare began by my poor decision of letting tow truck driver scare me out of towing my SUV to Toyota dealership as he will charge me $45 plus they may be too busy, and took his recommendation to take it to a shop where he had taken a Mercedes to recently, and not charge me.This was Sunday, halfway between SD and SF, my car overheated and roadside mobile mechanic determining water pump needs to be replaced. It's sundown and felt desperate...thinking why nor support a local auto repair shop.Here's why not:1. Small means small with only 1 tech and several cars in the shop (was not told this until after Day 3)2. Poor estimation on what the work requires likely lack of experience replacing water pump. Called Monday (Day 1) and was told they're looking for part. Called Toyota and they have it in stock. Shop refused to use Toyota and would only use what they get from parts store. Was told they're getting the part and will start working on it. Work should be done by Tue 5pm. I called O'Reilly's and part is $96 while Toyota is charging $225. Shop charged me $200 for the O'Reilly's part. 3. Poor communication skills. Day 2 Tuesday 5pm I called and work is not done. Need more time. He said Wednesday by noon. I decided to go to shop and see for myself the status of the repair. I see the part still in the box unopened. I asked him can he really do this job. Should I bring it somewhere else. He assured me he will get it done by Wednesday day noon. Day 3 noon I called and still not done. At this point, I told him I'm getting my car towed out of his shop and want to make sure all the parts (nuts and bolts) are in same area. He told me I cannot take my car and it's state law, then hang up on me. I called him back and asked to be truthful and tell me what else needs to get done. He says will be done by 5pm. I felt trapped and helpless. Got no choice but to let him finish the job. At 3pm finally got the call car is done.I drove 4.5 hours no issue. The following day I started hearing rattling noise. I checked under the hood and can see the bolts on the bracket where the water pump is are not seated correctly. I see gaps around the nuts. Today I looked under by passenger tire and I see bolt for the engine mount to be loose. Shop guy says he prides himself of taking the time to ensure quality work. Is this quality work?I'm bringing my car to my mechanic and check all the nuts and bolts that were removed and re-seat then tighten.Don't make same mistake as I did especially if you're from NorCal or SoCal unless you want to be stuck in Bakersfield for what feels never ending nightmare! Don't listen to tow truck driver of recommending local shop. I wanted to trust a small family-ran local shop would be competent, truthful, and empathetic of my situation. Spending 3 nights in a hotel ($600) Losing 3 days and stuck in Bakersfield Son missing school Me missing work Spending more $ to fix his "quality" work Never again! Trust your dealership repair shop.

Some one referred me to them and I was not disappointed. Went in to this little hole in the wall auto repair, and was treated like family. Got a quote on replacing my oil pressure sensor. Made a appointment for tomorrow.
