We moved from Bakersfield to Wyoming using U-Pack. We knew “exactly” what we were getting into. “You” pack and are responsible to pack and protect correctly. Hearing complaints about a third party packing your goods and something getting ruined in the process is not U-Packs responsibility in my opinion. U-Pack is a freight company, they just move your goods….period. What part of U do people not understand? If you used UHaul and something got damaged because of your negligence, would you complain? My experience was great. I used a local moving company that came highly recommended to pack our goods. “We” provided moving blankets and material which we knew we had to do….it’s called communication. We hired another moving company to unload. Let’s talk cost comparison. UHaul’s largest truck is not nearly as big as the U-Packs trailer. Cost would have been $7500 one way plus fuel and me driving the truck. Would have required two trips. Still would have needed someone to help pack and unpack so that’s a wash. U-Pack was $3417! Pack and unpack was around 2K total. Moving blankets and materials was around $400 or so. Total around $5817!!! My estimate for UHaul would have been around $8k “if” we could do it in one trip. Let’s not forget extra expenses of renting a car hauler to attach to the truck. We have two vehicles so there’s that to think about. We figure, conservatively we saved $2K minimum. I have no idea why I’ve never heard about U-Pack before our experience. Our realtor turned us on to them…Thank you Marvin Bush with Premier Realty.

STAY AWAY! I entrusted over $4000 of belongings to be be transported in one of their relocubes. The claims department only wants to offer $13 at first and then raises it $500 because they're being "reasonable". Forget trying to get an actual refund because they will throw you around back and forth on who to contactMy items weren't delivered, they were destroyed. In transit one of the delivery men dropped my container with a forklift, it even popped open from the impact. Nobody is held accountable and you'll be offered pennies for whatever you own. Thanks for ruining the start to my new life, U-pack.

Awesome and very easy to work with. Very accommodating on both ends. California and Kentucky. Drivers and office staff were very polite and courteous. The ABF driver in California even helped me load a few last minute things. The only downside is that I had to load the trailer by myself.

We had our stuff moved from California to Missouri without any problems what so ever. After all the nightmare stories I have heard from other people about the movers they used. I was so thankful it was such an easy stress free process. These guys are amazing percent recommend. Thank you

U-pack is the way to go. I definitely recommend it. The trailer was clean and on time. The reason 4 star vs 5 star is miscommunication on arrival dates. I was told by Upack when I called that my trailer could be delivered on Monday, this was a holiday and I don't think they realized that when I called, so I set up my movers for Tuesday. They then told me when I checked again that the trailer likely wouldn't be able delivered until Tuesday due to the holiday. When I called the Friday my trailer was to arrive at their facility they told me that it would be there that night but that there dispatch would be closed and they couldn't 'officially' schedule my delivery until the trailer arrived. Since they were closed all weekend and on the Monday holiday that meant I couldn't schedule my delivery until Tuesday. This meant another call to the movers to change the date to Thursday. Luckily they were still available every time, but I could see this being a problem. One other bit of advice... Hire really good movers/packers and really pay attention. I thought my guys were pretty good, but towards the end I think they they started getting tired and weren't wrapping and strapping stuff like they did in the beginning. The movers will be the cheap part of this already so don't just find guys off the street that don't know what they are doing or you will have a lot of damaged stuff.

I had a great experience with UPack (especially now days with the horror stories of peoples shipments taking weeks/months to get to them through other companies) Every time I called with questions I was able to speak to a real person right away. Did not get any extra charges/prices was exactly as stated on the website quote. Trailer was dropped off on a Thursday afternoon in CA. Called on Friday when we were done loading and they showed up within the hour for pick up. I was able to track my shipment to OK and check when to schedule a delivery. When I checked on the following Thursday morning I was promoted to schedule my pick up but only days available would be Monday or Wednesday. I called and asked, they stated the schedules were already filled but they would do their best to get my squeezed in that day or Friday. My shipment was delivered later that afternoon.

We moved from California to Florida and saved thousands of dollars using Upack. U-Haul would have been almost double when you figure in the cost of gas. The drivers were all very helpful and courteous.

Overall, I would say my experience with U-Pack was really good. There were no hidden prices, and the delivered on budget and on time. That being said... I would recommend that no one take them up on their moving company (Moving Staffers). That was a nightmare and a ton of my stuff got damaged. Just get your truck sorted out by U-Pack then hire your movers independently.

I would like to leave negative stars. We reserved this service and the first trailer was supposed to be delivered between 4-8PM tonight. At 805 I called to find out where the truck is as we have been getting ready to load all day and have been waiting. The guy says he called and left a message and they have to wait until Monday because they have no equipment. BS! We reserved it, that means you make sure you have it. Nobody called. BS! Crappy a** company. What a big waste of our time. Now we have to hope to find movers in a week! Don't use this company. Don't even consider it. Couldn't call to cancel because they are not open until Monday even though the woman on the phone when I reserved it told me I could call 24/7. Thanks for nothing UPack. Usuck!

U pack was great. They showed up just when they said they would and were great. They always answer the phone when you call, and they brought the trailer to our new house just when they said they would. Everything went great. I highly recommend them. No problems at all. You helped make our out of state move easier. Thank you!!

I have used Upack several times now and have always been extremely pleased with the prompt delivery and pick up of the trailer and it is a great way to save money on long-distance moves.

I researched A LOT before deciding upon U-Pack as my moving company. I read so many horror story reviews of people being charged more when their household arrived, people waiting months for their items to arrive and so on. I was incredibly nervous about entrusting my possessions to anyone at all, it's not like I can afford to replace the replaceable nor would the irreplaceable be able to be replaced. I also didn't want to spend $5-$7 thousand dollars for a moving company when almost all of my packing was already complete and I do not know how to drive a large truck (think U-Haul) or I would have gone that route. Instead, I went with U-Pack. The physical loading and unloading is exactly what we would have done with a truck we drove ourselves. With U-Pack we didn't have to drive the 1,000 mile trip in a large cumbersome truck- they did the driving! U-Pack's customer service was phenomenal, and I called quite a few times. The delivery and pickup drivers were friendly and helpful. The dispatch team, when I had to call for anything, was a little more business but very helpful all the same. My truck was delivered and picked-up on time (to load) then delivered and picked-up again (to unload) on time. I moved from a fairly quiet sun-filled street in a large CA city during February to a rainy quiet little almost country road in WA and the only issue I had with the move was the new neighbor who claimed the road we live on is "very busy"; pretty sure 10 cars/day isn't busy but to each their own:). My timing with pretty epic as the truck arrived on time to unload just before a snow storm which is, as I've been told by all local residents quite out of the norm for the area so we got to unload in that but I can't hold U-Pack responsible for the weather! If you are moving and can/want to the do the work yourself without the driving to save some money then I highly recommend U-Pack!

Are used to pack to move across the country as I was fleeing California’s covid craziness under Governor Newsom and returning back east I couldn’t be more pleased with the service that unpack provided - their customer service is excellent the move went as smoothly as it could and I would recommend them to anyone with the highest degree of confidence !
