330 19th St, Bakersfield“We are supporters of A Dream Shared. I just read a scathing review of this "Business" for "Poor customer service" from a Jennifer. This is not a business Jennifer, it's a non-profit organization providing services to people with special needs. They rely on volunteers who are not always reliable. You could have helped them out by arranging your own pickup. No one there lied to you Jennifer, more likely they just had a difficult time working things out. God bless.”
“I have for many years, depended on the Humane Society to help me w/my pets, as well as community cats. They have very unique items and offer a tax deduction when you donate items as well. They also can assist with knowledgeable, dependable advice. Very caring organization for all animals and their human "parents"!”
“As someone who collects a lot of different things, this place has been so good. I wish I had stumbled in a few years sooner but I'm glad I did. I've gotten some hard to get DVDs, Blu Rays, funko pops and the service is A+.
We love going here every week or other week and will continue to support it as long as we're here in Bakersfield. Good vibes in the store, well organized, beyond great pricing and always has something different.
Love this place.”

5420 California Ave, Bakersfield“This is a wonderful store to buy second hand clothing. Constantly having in good shape and clean items. The prices are reasonable. We like to shop there and to help the Cancer Society.
My favorite store to buy used things in good condition and clean. The store is in order and super clean. We help the Cancer Society by shopping here.”
“Rags to Rescue has the absolute best vintage finds in Bakersfield. Whether your looking for the perfect gift or something special for your home, you'll find it here.”
“Best thrift store ever Took my time the owner helped me find things. They answered my questions as best as they could. They have so many good things. Could spend my whole day here. Best reasonable prices!!”
11AM - 3PM
1924 Q St, Bakersfield“I love the mission of this second hand store. It is run by volunteers, ladies in the Assistance League of Bakersfield. The proceeds go to purchase new clothing for local underprivileged children through Operation School Bell. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. (Holidays they are closed and they take a break in the summers.) They accept donations on Monday mornings I believe. Brands sold are Chicos, Talbots, Liz Claiborne, for women. For men there is Polo by Ralph Lauren, Tommy Bahama and many other brands. Some items still have tags on them. Never been worn. There is an assortment of jewelry, houseware items, wall art, some furniture, linens, sporting goods, children's clothes, and accessories for women/men. I highly recommend stopping by.”
“Lily is personable and her prices are fair. She has so many little treasures in her store, and at times, prices are negotiable. I would suggest following her instagram page, she usually posts previews of newly arrived items. True thrift store and not antique shop. Highly recommend!”
“I have been going to the Kids Closet shop since they opened the little shop on Oswell, I love it!! It’s so organized and clean, their prices are good, the staff is very friendly, I got to meet the owner she’s the best!! we share stories, I will continue to support and tell my friends and family about her shop, if you’re looking for a good bargain on kids clothes and accessories rather new or pre loved This is your place!! ?”
“I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS HAVE GOOD ITEMS FOR A VERY…VERY REASONABLE PRICE✝️ THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SERVICE? GOD BLESS YOU ALL????”

120 19th St, Bakersfield“the older short woman that works there, mostly seen her on register and fixing shoes. always has attitude towards customers. yells at the homeless. she should get spoken too. last time i check any type of customer is making her check, she isnt bring anything to the store but loosing customers. also the management an older black hair female ( maybe manager) is a complete joke does nothing to solve the issue. just looks at the cashier and gets mad. as i was walking away they started to laugh. POS people. that store is a joke.”
9AM - 8PM
4130 Ming Ave, Bakersfield“As someone who was there early for the sale I can tell u that Anonymous Cockatoo is completely full of it. Nobody is “paying 100 dollars to get in early” that is the stupidest thing I ever heard. It’s a thrift store! Not an high end sample sale!!! Come on!!! The “African American worker that starts with the "K"”….was nice enough to let us in early because she saw us standing in line in the COLD. She is the sweetest person and Salvation Army is lucky to have her! Please Salvation Army don’t listen to bitter greedy RESELLERS like Anonymous Cockatoo who take the fun out of thrifting and are just mad they weren’t able to HOG everything to themselves.”
“I love this Goodwill. It is t the biggest or busiest in Bakersfield but the people are awesome and they are always playing good music! I tell myself to keep shopping until I hear a song I don't know every word of, I spend hours sometimes !!??????”
“Nice clean store. Not too big where it's overwhelming. The workers do a good job at sorting and color coordinating the clothing. The people who receive the donations are always very friendly. The only negative was a very long SLOoOoOw line...”
“Found emergency attire for work, had a bad experience with Paragon Cleaners in Visalia. They purposely overcharged me $321 for my 4 blazers and did alterations without me being there to measure me properly. I had no attire for work so I came to this Goodwill and found everything I needed for work. Was able to put some outfits together for work.
Very satisfied with the quality of the clothing I purchased.”
10AM - 8PM
1115 Olive Dr, Bakersfield“I like going to second hand shops and this one I went to. It had alot of different things. I mean from school supplies, dishes, and of course clothing. What an array of outfits. Like Gowns to play clothes for men women and children. Also a good shoe section. Not what you imagine shoes there look like but nice shoes and I even bought some shoes. Not worn either. The prices have gone Up almost the same price as department stores only a few $$$less. So if you like going through things on a slow day you can spend hours there. Check it out”
“We always have the best luck finding things at this location! Headed there yesterday and while there had Terry be super helpful. She works shipping and receiving but was so helpful when my daughter had spilled her drink and we needed help with clean up. Then she saw us waiting for changing rooms while 3 other staff looked away and she was right over to help us get access! Thank you Terry!”
“Do you have time to spare? Are you patient? Looking for bargains? Well, you may want to head on over to this Goodwill store. We dropped by on a Sunday morning. Store looks good from the outside. When you step inside the store, though, it does not impress. There is a sort of musty odor, but it should not come as a surprise cause all the merchandise has been donated by good folks. They do not carry brand new merchandise here. Although some stuff do have their original sticker tags. Wifey found some great deals on name brand clothing. She was very happy which made me very happy! Happy wife means happy life!! Check out this Goodwill if you have the time. Never know what you may find.”
“Great prices and great customer service. Just do not get offended if they come up to you. They have a lot of cameras and sometimes they think you are stealing. Just do not take it personally.”
