We had a very positive experience at Slagle's Mattress Factory. They have a large selections of mattresses, including latex foam, and will patiently guide you through your selection process. We purchased a King size Symphony Pillow top set, and while I was OK with the comfort of it in the store, what sold me was their guarantee to alter the mattress in the first 3 months if you decide you want it firmer or softer. We decided pretty quickly that it was too firm. We took it back (you can pay for pickup/delivery if you can't bring it back yourself), and for no charge they added more to the "pillow top" on each side, and adjusted the firmness underneath the pillow top. I can say I love the results, and am 100% happy with their service and guarantee!

We owned a Stearns and foster mattress that cost $3500 made my back and shoulders hurt no memory foam would help. So we thought we’d try Slagels half the price and best mattress we have owned needs No Topper feeling like a normal person again Thank You Slagle’s will be back

We were greeted very friendly but not pushy by Ms Terry, she knew what questions to asked and directed us to a perfect fit for us, she showed us a couple more to make sure we like the right one and approximately 15 minute later we purchase a mattress and in 3 days we had a locally made custom mattress.Splendid!Thank you

I had a mattress made last year, and I was noticing that it was sagging somewhat. I called Eric Slagle this morning and explained the situation to him. He sent his delivery man over within 1/2 hour of me calling them. He had the bed all day, and made it better than new. It was delivered around 4pm, so I didn't have to sleep somewhere else than my bed. I can't say good enough about Eric Slagle and his team. I like to shop local, and you can't get a better bed, or service than this. Many thanks to Eric and his staff for making this a seamless transition. I won't buy another bed from anyone else. Thanks Eric!!!

We were in need of custom mattress for our Winnebago Era. Eric was able to make us some excellent replacements The unique shape was no problem for him. I highly recommend Slagle’s for their fast, friendly and professional service.

Amazing beds at a affordable price, owner is very friendly and I like the fact that it is a Bakersfield owned business, those are next to impossible to find nowadays, he's been in business for a very long time so that should volumes on the quality of his mattresses

Matress was fine but the box frame was poorly designed or made. Requested and expected a regular sturdy box springs for the matress set but instead of cross-beam reinforced box springs we purchased before from them years ago we got this flimsy, poorly made thing that was mostly just an outside frame of wood to support. Matress began to sag badly within the first few weeks and complaints to the store for the inadequate design was met with us being told to bring it back some 50 mi. away in a Toyota Prius! Figured out a way to bolster the bed frame support with vertical wood pieces that made it work - but not the sturdy box springs design we expected or purchased from them years ago. Something changed in the design and/or manufacturing process over the years.
