We were stranded out of gas no money or food then of all things drunk driver hit our car head on and now $100.50 for repairs...we still not in nevada, hopefully this next week...people loan us money for gas and repairs. We will repay as soon as in Nv.

the people who work here are super nice and have been very helpful. The food pantry has been a lifesaver for my family, and I have no shame coming here to get food because sometimes you need help, and it's always ok to ask for help if you need it

I started getting groceries for myself at the Salvation Army on Wednesdays once a month. What I acquire I use to supplement my homeless ministry. The group of volunteers are truly loving Christians and they really do care. The food ministry not only provides food, but also prayer support. I have also been able to acquire both Spanish and English Bibles from SA on occasion. I am grateful to Jesus for the Salvation Army ... for its devotion to Jesus and its service to the community and the homeless. God bless the Salvation Army!

I went and I felt bad because at the last they told me that it was not my turn to go there and because it is Bakersfield and since I live in Arvin that's why at the last they gave me a box of eggs while the others were given much more food. The child didn't have milk and I went more for that reason, but well, I don't understand why they don't give you money for not living in that area. It's supposed to help low-income people who have food supplies. The truth is, it was a bad experience. For me but well only God knows.
