Overall KP doctors has never done me wrong except with a Workers compensation complaint which was resolved back in the day... (My personal opinion...NEVER go to them)But the reason I still use them is because they have some of the best physicians I've met during my 30 year industrial career. Round 1 The Lab gets 2 stars this location on Stockdale for my appointment I waited in the line marked appointments for 10 minutes with no one even coming out to see if there were customers waiting. 14 minutes in all and 6 customers outside a young man walks out and asks if there are any appointments I raised my hand and he checked me in. fine .. I look on the lab board and I am dead last.. ok I wait about 5 minutes and 3 people go into the lab. I walk back to the counter to ask why I have a 50-55 MJ ute wait when I have an appointment. He said " you have an appointment? I said yes when you asked I raised my hands and you checked me in . The young man checked me in and I shot to the top of the list . 1-2 minutes wait time. Round 2 I get called back and I asked for a butterfly needle because I have issues with the normal size and phlebotomists missing my veins.. Since I figured this out 6 years ago I have never had a problem.... Until now I get a girl/woman who puts in the butterfly and misses my vein.. spills out and reinserts to fine the vein. Blood drawn I get gauze and tape cool.. next day .. pictures below.. Round 3 my 9 yr old daughter goes with my wife and gets blood drawn with a butterfly needle , says the girl missed and had to wiggle it around . My wife was upset and took down her name says she told it to my kids PCD. Guess what ? same phlebotomist. So this is my issue and I've never done this before but the Stockdale location is fine except this one phlebotomist. I wont say her name but it rhymes with Bristal. Kaiser please send this person back to phlebotomy school I have never bruised in the last 6 years and my child bruised once a a child. This is expected but not with such frequency.. I'm sure she misses much more than she hits This is totally unacceptable. I've had blood drawn every 3 months for the last 12 years at the VA and let me tell you they are bad but they don't deal with children so it's different. Head are the pics of my arm I'll do an update my kid is ashamed to go to school with a noticeable bruise on her arm and wears a compression sleeve to hide it.. Luckily she's a bit athletic so her friend think it's cool. Long story but I believe necessary.

Not a big line and very nice pharmacists. The only thing is the parking! Not enough of them

The doctors and staff here are amazing. I saw Dr. Cowan in ophthalmology. She was very kind and informative and let me know exactly what was going on with my eyes. Parking is tough here though, so get there early.

Gave them one star because there is no option for zero. My wife broke her knee cap and had incredible pain. Was seen initially across the street at Adventist who assessed and treated her quickly. She was told to schedule a follow up with Kaiser (her carrier). After 2 1/2 hours on hold, being transferred to the wrong number twice and three attempts, she finally was able to schedule an appointment for 1:30. An hour later, she received a confirmation stating the appt was at 3:00. The day of the appt, we received a call at 2:00 saying we were late. We rushed down, with my wife almost hyperventilating from the pain, to have the doc spend less than five minutes with us. He didn't do anything but say to come back in two weeks. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED OVER THE PHONE!!! When she talked with the scheduler and showed her the confirmation for 3:00, the woman said we were told to be there at 1:45, which was wrong - it was either 1:30 or 3:00. She refused to admit there was a mistake and took an "Oh well" attitude. I have NEVER had a good experience with appts with Kaiser, which is why I shifted to a PPO. I'm willing to bet those people posting five star ratings work for Kaiser and are trying to pad their reviews.

Why does everyone who leaves a negative review get the same exact response from some bot named Eva or Robert? "This is Eva. I'm concerned your visit today... Blah. Blah. Blah... Please email me at ×××. so we can discuss this." Why do you send it? You know no one will ever respond to the patient who does what you request. Do you do it to see how many suckers send an email? Is there an office betting pool on the number. I've sent 7 emails in 7 months to good old "Eva". And Nothing. Crickets. Nada. Zero. Nope. Eva probably needed medical care and had Kaiser. We probably wont be seeing Eva anymore. She is probably ignoring Emails at that big waiting room in the sky now. Or maybe someplace lower and a lot hotter.

Dr. Stone from their ENT office did my nasal septoplasty. Every pre-op consult was great, he was thorough and answered all of my questions. The surgery went great, I'm still recovering but I can already feel the positive difference it has made for me. Thanks Dr. Stone!

I am very happy with Kaiser and I highly recommend! Dr Fang did my surgery and I had a wonderful experience. He's pretty busy, because he is so good, so it took me about 2 weeks to get in for a consult but after that, A++.

I need surgery on my ankle, because the Bakersfield location has unskilled personal they force people to drive two hours south at your own expense. Because you will not be able to drive yourself back a relative will have to take time off work, you will need to set this person up in a hotel and pay for meals. If something was to go wrong during surgery, you're out of pocket cost for this person will climb. I have tried to get Kaiser to let me see a local surgeon but all they will say is this person is not a contract doctor.

This facility is next to San Joaquin Hospital and one of the newest facilities that Kaiser has in Bakersfield. This location has many specialists located here such as podiatrist, surgeons and a smattering of other specialists. Usually the parking is horrible and they do offer valet parking but we don't ever use it. So if you have an appointment here you might want to come early because parking is a problem. Otherwise it's new, clean and nice. It has a pharmacy but the wait time here seems to be quite a bit longer than others. Seems as though it needs to be larger for how many doctors it houses.
