“This place is great just recently I visited to donate items and the vibes and the place are so warm and welcoming. It makes my heart happy to see these poor cat and kittens have a safe haven where they are safe and sound. This has become one of my favorite places in Bakersfield. The way everything is set up it's so adorable, these little cat houses and adorable cats roaming around is just so pure. I admire these folks for taking time to provide these innocent little fur babies shelter. Thank you cat people”

“Passing through Bakersfield with our newly rescued American Bully had us scrambling to find quality, grain-free kibble and boy were we excited to find Village Pet Market. I dialed them quickly to ensure they had our favorite, Taste of the Wild on deck, and they did. Snagged a large bag of The Fish Puppy Formula, that is in small bites, perfect for our 18y/o Pomeranian too. The store was clean, easy to find, and had plenty of parking.Couldn't leave without a couple collapsible silicone bowls for walks, and a large Chicken flavored Nylabone for the boy. I was excited to see a large selection of quality, Pendleton dog beds and wish we weren't so packed in the SUV back to OC or we would've grabbed one. If they ship, I'll definitely be placing an order ASAP.Jenna was great at checkout. Smiles, eye contact, and even was able to assist us with an ID tag creation, and what an awesome selection of tag styles. We selected the quiet tag in chrome and black.I wish we had a Village Pet Market in our town in Orange County, we would be here weekly if we could!! Thanks Jenna and the Village Pet Market team!!”

“I got 3 budgies from here, and my precious guinea pig. I’ve had my birds for a couple of months, and no issues. Double check and make sure the birds are clipped or not. One of my budgies was clipped, and I didn’t realize it until I got home (I prefer my birds have their beautiful wings so they can fly around). Not an issue though because my bird is beautiful and doing fine. Just letting her wings grow back!I’ve had my guinea pig for a week and we absolutely love her! Will probably be going back for another one so she can have a companion! Great place, and affordable!”

“My pug was getting a little stinky and a bath at home just wasn't doing the trick, so I decided to bring her in for a full grooming. The price was great (they charge by size of dog and services requested). For my 13 lb pug, the price was just under $40. This service included a bath, blow dry, ear cleaning, nail trim, anal gland expression, 15 minute brushing and a little spritz of doggy perfume. You could add on other services for an additional charge of course, but this was all we needed to get our pup in good shape! The staff was so friendly and seemed to really enjoy the company of dogs. In fact, when I was walking up to pick my puppy up, I was happy to see that she was out of a cage and actually hanging out with the staff in the front. I will definitely be returning to this location to have my pup groomed in the future!”

“A standard for us since a long time ago on Chapala in SB. When they came in to Bakersfield, reacquainted with the SB Char. Amazing for a drive thru. Sourdough generally tastes way better than most burger joint buns anyway. And Avo on Sourdough? Huh, if u ain't a fan you don't like avocado... combine onions and grilled beef and it's a full on flavor party. I like the large variety on their menu.Their shakes are always good, the ice cream cones are cheap and delicious.Salads are huge (pricey now, but huge), and added steak or grilled chicken makes it two meals.”
