If I could leave 0 stars I would. Overcharging for meat is CRAZY!! They took advantage and charged over $80 for 2 slabs of ribs. Pork ribs at that! Will no longer shop at this store. This was my favorite place to shop but not anymore. HUGE RIP OFF!!!

I just came here today on my own my dad usually comes and gets boneless chicken legs to cook at home the chicken has always been fresh and is very very good cooked! This was my first time going myself and I saw cooked ribs and I told him let me get the whole rack if it’s not too expensive or half if it is expensive and the 6 pounds of chicken was suppose to total out to 18$ before tax and he gave me the whole rack of ribs and chicken for 20$ before tax amazing business amazing people when it’s family run!

I had visited this location looking to (hopefully) purchase quality pork ribs. They had 2 choices: spare and country. The country ribs were pre-packaged, so I asked for the spare ribs. The clerk then told me "The person who cuts the meat isn't here;" therefore, not only is some of their meat outsourced, but what they do have may not even be available to you.

Love them and so glad they're near my place. Highly recommend going here for all your meat purchases. They also have very fresh produce. Their avocados are the best (a little pricier than the grocery store but so worth it when you taste the difference). Oh and the homemade salsa is delicious!!! Love everything about the place. Lastly, the people there are friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. They do customer service the right way!! Thank you!

Chico and his crew do a fabulous job of keeping the place clean, stocked and presentable. If you are going to do a little BBQ (La Carnita Asada) this place has it all. Good selection of meats (beef, chicken, pork), sausages (made by Chico), salsas (made by Chico's wife) and even a small produce with the most typical items for the barbeque. Small place with a big punch. Prices are pretty much the same anywhere you go when it comes to these kind of stores. And if you don't have time to cook, they also sell ready to eat BBQ meat from ribs, to tri-tip and chicken they start the fire early!!

I love this carniceria. Since it's my cousin's go-to meat market, I've been here with her several times now. Because she comes here all the time, and because the owner already knows her order, we are usually in and out in under two minutes. Meaning, I never get enough time to explore. Walking in to the shop, the very first thing one notices is how clean it is, which is obviously a great start. Next, my eyes are drawn to a long line of brightly colored salsas, which look mouth-watering. Moving towards the meat, which is in the back of the store, one passes through small but skillfully sourced aisles of produce and Mexican staples such as mole, various forms of tortillas, Mexican hot chocolate, a deep freezer full of La Michoacana paletas, and so much more. (I am proud of the fact that, during my most recent trip to Bakersfield, I got my cousin's kids hooked on La Michoacana mangonada flavored bars. They're an excellent fat-free alternative to ice cream.) In the front of the store are three fridges full of beverages, including bottled Mexican soft drinks produced with cane sugar. Along with everything I've already mentioned, the meat is fire. It's always perfectly seasoned and/or marinated, and comes out delicious no matter which one of us cooks it. All of our experiences with this shop have been positive, and I definitely recommend giving them a try if you're in town.
