This place is great just recently I visited to donate items and the vibes and the place are so warm and welcoming. It makes my heart happy to see these poor cat and kittens have a safe haven where they are safe and sound. This has become one of my favorite places in Bakersfield. The way everything is set up it's so adorable, these little cat houses and adorable cats roaming around is just so pure. I admire these folks for taking time to provide these innocent little fur babies shelter. Thank you cat people

My husband and I, and then my dad, adopted our cats from Cat People. The cats were very skittish and shy at first. Now, in our loving homes, they have become regular loving, cuddly and funny cats. Don't give up on them! My cat is hilarious and loyal, and my dad always says that while people think he saved Sophie, Sophie really saved him.

A wonderful, caring place for homeless cats and kittens. I have two kitties from them. They are ten now and were babies when I got them. Any help is appreciated. Time helping at the sanctuary or park feeding the strays. They are a great organization.

Make an appointment and your golden. Time seems of the essence for people volunteering there. Adopting a cat is one of the things possible there. Make sure to make appointment for open business hours.

I once got a hold of them and left a message on the voicemail but they never got back to me to either say yay or nay to the request that I had asked of them. I do not like to be left hanging when it was recommended to me that I at least try them.

Both the cats and humans were friendly. It is a very special place.. The open house was very fun and I would highly recommend it. They are a wonderful and legitimate organization to donate to.

This non-profit has helped me w/ my pets for YEARS! They are very good at selecting the appropriate food for my "babes" & I have have had to lean on them quite a bit! I can say that I am so thankful for all they do! I pray all is well w/their cat families & themselves!

Staff is always so friendly! The cats are able to roam around the sanctuary as they please. They even have nice relaxing music playing for the kitties! Thank you Cat People for helping me find my best friend!

It’s so hard to find a place in Bakersfield where I can take a rescue kitten! No matter if I say I’m willing to donate and pay for anything else, they just do nt seem to help. What am I suppose to do? Leave the kitten out in the street? I have two cats already in a small apartment. I wish I could keep him but I can’t
