This business is a well oiled family business. I was driving through Bakersfield around 4P on a weekday and experienced car troubles. I called SEVERAL mechanics in the Bakersfield area and all were either closing or not available. I even have AAA, they came out and could not fix the issue. My last call was to Castro's Auto Repair. I explained my issue and they sent a mechanic to my location to assist with car issue. The mechanic arrived fixed my car good enough for me to follow him back to the auto shop (about a 10 min drive). I waited patiently once at the auto shop for the repair- about 45 minutes. Once repaired I paid for their service which might I add was VERY REASONABLE And FAIR considering my emergency auto issue. On my way back through Bakersfield I stopped by for an oil change and to have the mechanic look at the car once more before continuing a loooooong drive. I am TRULY GRATEFUL for CASTRO's AUTO REPAIR. This business and its owners, employees are truly the DEFINITION of CUSTOMER SERVICE, RELIABLE, AND EFFICIENT AND HUST OVERALL GOOD PEOPLE. Castro's is officially my mechanic -I will drive to Bakersfield for them to service my car-YES it is THAT SERIOUS. If you are reading this do not pass this business up!

They are wonderful!! I was traveling through Bakersfield on a Saturday when a weird noise started happening. I exited off the freeway as fast as I could and called a bunch of different mechanics. No one was open or they were about to close at noon. I called Castro's and they were open! Bless! They were so friendly and sweet on the phone and in person. Thankfully they were able to figure out the problem and a solution quickly and I was back on the road in a relatively short amount of time as other cars were being worked on as well. I'm SO grateful they were open and were delightful and easy to work with! Thank you for saving my car and my trip!

Replaced a bad pulley , power steering pump , and a hose all within 2hrs for a dope price. Coming back next week for breaks and oil change. After putting 50k miles on my car I'll be trusting Sergio to keep it alive lol.

Had a check engine light on, in a Lexus ls 430 he found the issue needed a new canaster took care of issue ,I have also a 1969 mustang that he did several repairs on, suspension and then he installed a new gear box, great work , when he had the mustang around Christmas time all my family including myself tested positive for the virus I couldn't pick it up I live around Allen rd. and Brimhall his shop is at Chester and Union I told him our situation and he said no worries I will drop it off for you and he did and left keys under the mat and car in drive way, that's customer service ! thank for that ....

Castros auto and Diesel repair is a great shop I take all my cars there Changed all the suspension to a 1969 Mustang and fixed my 2005 Lexus LS 430 reasonable prices but his customer service is great

I had my 1969 Mustang painted next door, needed all the suspension changed saw his shop and decided to give him a try, he did great work on it , than it needed a new gear box, done also have a Lexus check engine light on ,found the issue .. Great service , great work and reasonable prices .. I only will take my cars to him ...

Honest, fast and prices are decent. We've brought our Escalade here for brakes and also changed spark plugs, he even gave us a ride home so we didn't have to wait at the shop. We Definitely recommend them!

Cool spot.... was able to fix my car due to it couldn't start but they tried and even out gas in it... as soon as I get the starter fix I will be bringing it back.. look for the young guy with the long hair... he is very cool and he handle his biz... if you guys see this....I'm the guy with the black 04 audi A6 and locs... be seeing you guys again soon.

I called off a search on-line! Called them up and told them I needed an oil-change and also to get my spark plugs checked which I will do when I get back to Orange County! Very nice and it wasn't too busy today and I was in and out within a Half hour! Definitely recommend this shop. Thank you!

When in for a solenoid ended up swapping transmission only because the mechanic wanted more money, got my car back and the motor blew a head gasket.... do not come here they are shady
