I had an excellent experience with Budget Rental, particularly thanks to Ana, their customer service rep. Ana was incredibly nice and patient, making the rental process smooth. I'm impressed and will definitely choose Budget Rental on Wible!

Ana at this Budget location on Wible Rd. was very understanding and helpful. I needed to upgrade my rental to a biger vehicle and without hesitation she helped my wife and me out and we were on our way! Thank you Ana!!

Scam rental company. Can't honor pick up times, they will NOT call you and let you know until you show up. They had 14 PEOPLE AHEAD OF US, it's now been two hours after we were supposed to be leaving town, still no car. Contacted customer service, they told us to go to THIS location off Wible they would upgrade us for free, we were given a confirmation number. After an almost 30min drive to the other company, the man working tells us there is NOTHING he can do for us and won't accept the confirmation number that we just got from customer service. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

The budget /avis office here in Bakersfield off of wible rd ..2 things. .1st the rental vehicle and Costco membership discount i got thru them was great...no issue there with that. Issue is the staff and there Early return refund..returned a vehicle 7/31/2023 a day and a half almost ahead of scheduled drop off and up til this posting 8/10/2023..still have not received any refund back. .was told the initial call in to the avis 1 800 number it would be 24 to 48 hours....we r at 11 days in and counting. Ataff is completely not helpful and redirect the customer to the 1 800 number ..no sense if helping out their customer...I tried them once and will stay loyal to Enterprise from here on out.....2nd and 3rd call informed me it could be 3 to 7 days. 4th call I couldn't get a answer as to where my money is. And don't call the local office. If i could do review it lower I would... all the positive of the deal and vehicle have gone out the window...

Rented Moving truck recently. Reserved it online and declined the $130 insurance. Went to pick it up and was told I had to purchase insurance to drive it off. Contacted Budget directly. Was told that was not correct and it was a "miscommunication". Would not refund me. I rented to Budget a week prior to that and they let me decline the insurance. Last time I rent from Budget. Would rather pay a little more for Uhual. I should have never tried Budget to save a few dollars.

AVOID AVOID AVOIDI rented cars on a regular basis (1-2 times a month) and it was OK when the young guy or young girl was working. They would accept my Charles Schwab debit card for the $250 deposit, after I would pay the full amount through my Amazon profile (which was from ANY BANK card). However, now the old guy is there - I'm assuming he's the owner - and he literally is a POS. He lies about everything. First he says they don't accept any cards except Chase, Wells Fargo or Bank of America. So if you don't bank with those 3, you aren't getting the rental - even though you ALREADY PAID THE FULL $500 when you booked the car. And guess what- he denies you, then tells you to call Budget, who then says the refund is 3-10 business days. This was literally yesterday. This POS always has cars available because he turns everyone away for not having a Chase, BOA, or Wells card to put on file. And I'll tell you why. My last rental, I dropped off the car (I didn't even want, but that's a whole other bullshit game this guy plays) and this guy has the audacity to say "everything is fine" and we can leave. Then we get hit with $600+ charge. He lies about the condition of the cars and makes up charges that don't exist. Even the corporate office couldn't explain what one of the $85 charges was, and the remaining fees are duplicated.This place should be shut down immediately. Though they will likely be out of business in a few months. They don't let anyone rent the cars and when they do, they scam you with fees. EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE AWARE - budget is not like enterprise. If you pay the FULL AMOUNT UP FRONT and the guy doesn't lie and say you left damage or "hair", you may end up paying only the original amount. But if you add a day, they charge a $60 late fee PER DAY, on top of the FULL RATE OF THE CAR even if you have used an Amazon discount or free upgrade or any discounted rate. Then this guy adds fees that he doesn't itemize because they're all fake. I believe he wouldn't rent to me yesterday because I fought his fraudulent report and won, so now he's pissed.Also: they don't check the cars with you in person at ANY TIME. They let you take the car by yourself, after their "cleaner" has sat in it and smoked weed for an hour, then when you drop it off, they say "thanks everything is good to go" and you leave confused. They don't take any pictures or inspect the car with you, and now I realize why - it's so they can report fraudulent damage or mess. Little do they realize, I take pictures of the entire vehicle so they couldn't screw me over with their scam. The bottom line: go anywhere else. This place needs to be shut down. Or, if you do need to rent a car and you have a Chase, BOA, or Wells card, you can take your chances and rent here - but you NEED TO DOCUMENT EVERYTHING YOURSELF. Even if you lock your card because you're fighting the charges, they still charge you and you have to go through their bullshit scam, then you get refunded. What a nightmare. I now realize why they always have cars, and the last 3 times I've been in there, someone is always leaving mad - because they get turned away. Now I'm getting turned away because the owner is upset his scam didn't work with me, and suddenly he has "never" accepted a Charles Schwab debit card. Though they have the last 5+ times I've rented a car from them. We went to enterprise and the couple that was at budget with us was there at enterprise as well. At least we didn't get scammed again or have to fight the owner's fraudulent reports.AVOID AVOID AVOID. budget needs to shut down this scammer.

My husband was discriminated against and experienced first hand racism from the manager on down. If I could give them zero stars I would. Racists are so ignorant that they don’t understand when you work with public and you don’t own the company, you represent them. You can say the rental was not available but let us not forget that you told the Airport location no problem send him over and the reservation would be honored there. Once you saw he did not fit what you deem acceptable, all of sudden the rental is not available. Next time keep your racist, discriminatory remarks at home there is no place for that at your minimum wage job. #racistbudgetrental #budgetrental

This was by far one of the most deceptive and dishonest businesses I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We reserved a moving truck and were told upon arrival that we needed to pay an additional $65 dollar insurance fee. After deciding to leave and rent at U-Haul (where they don't charge this fee) my credit card was charged a surprise $75 "no show" fee from Budget. DO NOT RENT HERE!! The female receptionist was also rude and condescending.

This was the worst car renting experience I've ever had. DO NOT GO HERE. Also the car they gave me- that was the only available economy car-has VOMIT all over it. Plus expired tags. This place is a joke. Never in my life have I seen such horrible service. Smelly, vomit soaked car. You've been warned.

I had been calling and looking around for a car and finally decided to try this place out. Since I was not happy with enterprise at all. The only thing that sucks is they have you call a number and they have you on hold forever. I told the young lady on the phone I was at work and could not be on hold forever.She could careless I loved the car that I got to drive around. The lady behind the window when I walked in was also very nice. The place was small and clean but it did smell like cigarette. The hours of operation need to be fixed to work around work schedules. I would use them again because I hates the service at enterprise.

I had to pay $20 for a Lyft to get here. My reservation was for $57.90. They charged me $190 plus the $200 fee. I got a refund, however I'm having to pay another $20 to get home. I too would give this place a negative star rating if possible.

If I could put negative zero stars I would! I had a reservation made prior with this place through Priceline. I arrived gave my debit card and ID as usual and they asked me for my credit card I said no I will be paying with my debit and than they proceeded with ok no problem we just have to run your credit? I said for what I'm just renting a car not purchasing one. They said to see if I qualify for the rental. Since when do you have to qualify to pay for a service. Like seriously WTH! I have to qualify to pay them to rent their car! Uh no... Never in my life have I had to run credit to rent a car. I immediately asked for my cards back. That just sounded shady as hell. I left and went to Enterprise and was taken care of in a breeze. Stay far away from this place!
