I’ve been to this place before and they had amazing deals but lately they haven’t been open. I’ve driven to this location twice now and even though google will say it’s opened they always have a sign saying they’ll reopen a different day and it’s been like this for a month now. I’d understand if google said temporarily closed but it doesn’t and not only that they have lights on inside. It’s not a close location to me and it’s just frustrating when you take time to go to a location only to find it’s not open

Last time I went I Sept 2023. Never went back
Was a frequent shopper. Lady asked to see my baby covered in stroller. Maybe I didn't believe I had an infant in there. Then said I needed to leave diaper bag. I said no I'll leave it in my car then proceeded to unlatch it from my stroller and began to hand it to another lady continuing to say they would hold. I took it back said no and left. I'm not a thief. It was unfortunate.

If I have to give this no star I would. Went in with my family and worker started following us around the store like I was going steal something smh never in my life I been followed by anyone going to any store. Will definitely let everyone know just be careful when you go to this store. Felt people were very racist and rude.

I love the mission of this second hand store. It is run by volunteers, ladies in the Assistance League of Bakersfield. The proceeds go to purchase new clothing for local underprivileged children through Operation School Bell. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. (Holidays they are closed and they take a break in the summers.) They accept donations on Monday mornings I believe. Brands sold are Chicos, Talbots, Liz Claiborne, for women. For men there is Polo by Ralph Lauren, Tommy Bahama and many other brands. Some items still have tags on them. Never been worn. There is an assortment of jewelry, houseware items, wall art, some furniture, linens, sporting goods, children's clothes, and accessories for women/men. I highly recommend stopping by.

I feel very safe shopping at this thrift store. The place is clean, prices are great and the staff is very friendly plus I know I am shopping to contribute to a great cause for children how much better can that be! I highly recommend visiting whether for a contribution or spending time to find treasures. Thank you

Best Thrift Store in Bakersfield. Lots of brand new items with tags still on the garments. Shoes, housewares, linen, books, ties. Everything in the store has a tag with the price.

When I choose to shop thrifty,. I definitely shop here at The Bargain Box. They always have brand named clothing, great prices, and the beautiful ladies who donate their time to help out..... Are simply just precious. I just wished that they were open a lot more often!!THANK YOU LADIE'S ???
