I’m sorry but this experience was horrible there’s so many patients and the hospital itself needs a new system to take care of patients faster they had us from the emergency room to another waiting room to the vitals room back and forward literally no place to sit and phone charges are not even working I was there for nearly 8 hours on a work injury in severe pain.

Very poor ER ..stay away if you need care go elsewhere. They just play musical chairs and don't treat you in a timely matter. I would have scored a zero if that was possible

I was there in August of 2023 and this nurses who took care of me. Then we're very not good these nurses. This time, around all my heavens. They were so attentive so compassionate, so caring. They seem to care for my welfare. And they loved their job. That was the other thing, and I'm just so happy that I had the nurses. I feel blessed. Thank you very much.

Update still the same dirty hospital. Unfortunately I knew better but since this is the kaiser hospital I have to come here. The ER really has no urgency for anyone. They don't care about anyone's pain or time. Came in at 3p. Had my blood taken and an ultrasound. It is now 815pm... 5 hours later ! And I am here waiting for the results. It wasn't very busy. Only because I have seen it busy when the hallways are full of patients. .. it wasn't like that when I came ... If you have any other options go anywhere else !9pm now still nothing from the doctor or results

Aside from taking 12 hours to get a room. Everything went well. Dr's & nurses were very attentive. Went home with clear instructions & follow up appointments.I arrived about 10 am , found out I'd be staying at least overnight about 3 pm. It was after 10 pm before I got my room. The emergency room is not a great place to be stuck on a stretcher for that many hours. No fault of my Dr's or nurses. They were great. I get the fact that I'm not special . I didnt expect special treatment. Maybe I shouldn't have been admitted if they had no where for me to go .

Words can’t express how grateful we are to have had my husbands life saved by the entire team who diagnosed, cared, and treated his condition. On March 3, of this year my husband was seen by a Kaiser urgent care Dr and we were told he had to be seen at the ER and sent us to Adventist health for a further evaluation. From the moment we arrived everything moved very fast. At the ER we were given a scary diagnosis of congestive heart failure and were told he would be admitted. They assigned a heaven sent cardiologist by the name of Dr. Desai who was not only very knowledgeable about my husband’s condition, but also was very caring and compassionate. He walked in the room and seen the advance directive forms and told my husband “we are not gonna look at those forms because we're not gonna get there” giving us a sense of relief and reassurance that all would be well. He explained everything that was happening so well and answered all of our questions and concerns, and after a long conversation he assured us he was going to fix the situation and proceeded to give my husband a hug. I have never felt that type of empathy and compassion coming from a doctor. So many test were done and Dr. Desai came to find me to basically explain what needed to be done and said he was gonna ask one of the best surgeons there is for this type surgery to take on the case. My husbands case was referred to Dr. Khwaja’s and his surgery team. Who not only placed a new valve on my husbands heart but also made sure he was brought back to life safely. Once surgery was done, my husband spend 3 days in surgery ICU where he was treated and cared by Dr. Mehta (his pulmonologist), Dr. Khwaja (surgeon), Dr. Desai (cardiologist), and the best nurses anyone could ask for Nurse Josh, Zari, Joey and the entire RT team. We were so blessed to have had all of the teams from the ER (beginning) to discharge (end) of our stay, treat us with not only respect, but most of all love and compassion. A special thanks to Celia M. in registration for reassuring my husband that he was in good hands, because he honestly was. Thank you all, you all are the best. ~From Marquez family
