My husband and I have been going to this church since 2012. We lived close by in Glendora, and moved out near Jurupa Valley in 2013. We still make the drive all the way to Azusa for church...that's how much we love the teachings there and our church family who is always there for us when we need it. We love the coziness (we're not really into mega churches), so for us, it's perfect.

Excellent Bible teaching church, with friendly people who encourage one another to draw near to God! To decide for yourself if what they teach is Biblical, they have several good sermons online. My husband and I have enjoyed their main sanctuary services on Sundays and Thursdays, in their new and bigger location, and they still have fine small group Bible studies at their office and bookstore location as well.

I have attended this church for the past 20 years. I have seen the Lord do mighty things through this ministry such as change lives (my families included), raise up Godly people, and send out missionaries. Things that are only possible through prayer, fasting, the teaching of God's word, and people being led by the Holy Spirit. My former Pastor (now with the Lord), and my current Pastor have always taught us to check what is being taught to the word of God, to look toward the Lord and not to man, as man will always fail us but God will never fail us. My Pastor has a heart of gratitude and servitude and lives to glorify God. Many times he sacrifices his time to help those in need like the time he came to fix a broken pipe in my kitchen, teach us to clean our pool, or to pray before a surgery. I know he has done this for several others also, sometimes in the middle of the night. We are encouraged through his example of portraying the love of Christ in action and for this I am thankful. This church not only teaches the word of God but teaches us to live it.

I would give it no stars if I could. I have heard nothing but bad things about this church from people who served their years ago but I thought I would give it a chance since I live in Azusa, but I always wondered why it's not called Calvary Chapel Azusa & why it never grows and seems to get smaller and smaller & now I know why.... 1st it's hard to find where the entrance is we got their 15 minutes early and saw no signs, no parking guy, no usher. So we tried to go into front but couldn't so went around back and some people barely got their, so finding parking walking around driving around it was 7 already. 2 gals walked right in, but when my husband & I got to the door some tall, old, fat man shut the door and crossed his arms and mad dogged my husband. My husband said is this Calvary Chapel he said yes.. Got in my husbands face and said what's your name? We should of left right than we just could not believe this is their greeter. Come to find out the guy isn't even Christian he is a hired security guard. What happened to a welcoming face and place. It's tiny, tiny, tiny. 2 people out 16 where friendly. Noisy, dark and for some reason my seat was wet. A lot of teenagers, every time I sang they would turn around & look at me. They did not pay attention they straight up had a conversation while the so called pastor preached on rape. He added to God's word, he said things that were not in the Bible, he mainly talked about himself and tried to be funny. The guy leading worship was not skilled. I NEVER walked out of ANY Calvary Chapel before but we did this one. NO love at this church. Don't go here keep driving to a real God teaching church any other Calvary in town.

Such a cute awesome bookstore with all kinds of Christian items. Small, but unique, I just loved the place. The person that runs this bookstore was so kind and helpful, Most importantly...her heart was submerged in the Lord. This is the place if you want great Christian books...etc.. Keep the Faith!!! Calvary Chapel San Gabriel Valley is right next to Max Mexican Food...where we had a very delicious lunch. Yup...get a little blessed looking at all the great items and get a little Mexican food from Max. www.ccsgv.com
