“Absolutely delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches & tacos!!! The ownership just changed hands but the food is still amazing. They have awesome selection of snacks, candy, and coolers for reach-in drinks.The Avila burger is huge and loaded with delicious toppings. The fries are Crisp and hot. The Carnitas tacos are homemade the night before and the salsa really makes it.”

There's a nice variety of baked goods, sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts as well. Need any Italian grocery items? This place has just about everything you might need. They're always open. Staff is friendly and helpful. You should make this a destination if traveling or a local!”

The guys who work here are always the nicest too. My wife was looking for something dark chocolatey and the man behind the counter came around and helped dig through the entire candy selection to make sure she didn't miss any options!”

“So this is the classic bodega, priced for convenience. BUT, after living here 7 years, they have saved me being open early or late countless times!! My absolute favorite part is when my son was old enough to walk to school on his own, he'd get snacks before or after school. At first, he was getting the hang of his own money and was short 5 to 20 cents, and they STILL let the kids take the snacks!!! He takes pride in remembering and takes extra $$ next time he goes in ❤️❤️Thanks for being so sweet to the kids and keeping small town charm of a Bodega.”

“I'm in grocery heaven. You'll easily fall in love with this store. It is gorgeous and a beach town attraction. You could have a girls afternoon here. They've even had whiskey tasting. There's a gift shop. For the love, check out the meat counter. You know, good girls love some good meat (well, I think the bad ones do too). Heck, all girls should get their meat on and this is the place to do it, even if people are watching. .....should this Yelp review be rated?”

“It's a liquor store...They do what you would expect.However, given their proximity to the beach, their prices could be much higher.The employees are all super nice, friendly, and welcoming.No reason not to go here, if you're trying to quickly pick something up before you go on the dunes.”

“At first I thought Third Base might be a scam but the reviews overall looked pretty good. I have to say I'm very happy. My bottle of rare bourbon was packed and protected perfectly. “We love this deli and grocery. The food is fresh and there are some truly gourmet options. We usually all order a custom sandwich (Proscuitto is my go-to), and add a lovely side salad to round out the order. Make no mistake: this isn't subway. This is truly a top-of-the-line deli experience, with a dessert selection that's worth the trip alone. Lemon cheesecake, Tiramisu, the list goes on and on (actually it doesn't because it's all fresh so get there early). This place is more than sandwiches, it's fresh pasta, wonderful salads and a choice selection of wines and beverages... not to mention McConnel's ice cream! If the family can't decide what to eat, take them to DePalo's where there's something delicious for everyone!”

“Manny is one of the most knowledgeable people in the wine business. He knows the back story of every wine he sells and has a great palette and memory for tastes. Once he knows what wines you like, he will be able to suggest others you will enjoy from his extensive inventory from boutique wineries and limited special offerings from more well known producers too. The only negative is that he is often working alone and that slows everything down. If you just want to run in for a quick tasting or one bottle of wine, you may leave frustrated, but if you have the time to relax, taste, and listen to Manny's stories, you are likely to leave very happy and with a case of interesting new wines to take home.”
