“Had the most pleasant stay the first weekend of this year, at the Seacrest Inn. And despite having to stay an extra night, due to canceled boat travel back to the mainland, I took advantage to meader and explore since one can't control Mother Nature. I had my room booked for almost a year (3/29/2023), this after, securing my Avalon 50 entry on 3/05/23, which put my mind at ease. I guess you can say I don't like to stress or feel rushed to find a place when it comes to destination races. Upon arrival, I was greeted and shown my room. Everything was exactly as described by others and quite comfortable. The only thing I would change, at least for the dolphin room, is to replace the mini fridge as it freezes everything you put into it. A mini fridge w/out freezer would be ideal to avoid the mishaps. 10/10, and despite the mini fridge, I'd stay here again. I really enjoyed my stay and and it was comfortable.”

“Nice Hotel. Reasonably priced. Had a standard room with ocean view. It's on the smaller size but well equipped. There are a lot of little touches and amenities you will find in a boutique hotel. It reminds me of European hotels. The balcony is small, but they have a rooftop terrace that is really nice and well equipped with cushions and seating if you want to spend time just looking at the view which is amazing from there. Servicing a continental breakfast was a nice touch that few hotels offer here. We took our breakfast to the rooftop terrace and had a lovely time. All the employees we encountered were very nice and accommodating if we had a question or request. I will stay there again and would recommend.”

“I read most of the reviews before I booked this place, and I did not have the same problem (the person is not available for check in) as some of the reviews. The place courteously let us know that they would be out for lunch from 2-3pm (check-in is at 3pm) and that the place was available for earlier check-in. We just finished lunch at the time they sent the message, so we checked in at around 1:45pm. Go to the clothing shop below EdgeWater for check-in and check-out (we were instructed to leave the keys in the room and leave if we would check out before 9am). The room number 3 did not have the beach view, but it did not matter as we only booked for sleeping and shower, and the day gets darker so soon during the winter. Microwave is available in the common kitchen area if you need it. The room had the suitcase holder, hairdryer, and the cozy bed. I would totally give this place another try on the next visit.”

“Currently day dreaming of Catalina Island and my visit here in late August. After much research I opted to stay one night in Hotel Vista Del Mar when visiting the island for a short 24 hour trip. The location of the hotel is central, making it accessible to countless restaurants and nearby shops. The aesthetic of the hotel is lovely and the rooms are comfortable and clean despite the size. While the hotel is on the smaller side and on a main tourist heavy street there was no issue with noise or privacy. The hotel felt safe and was overall easily accessible despite the lack of an elevator. Staff were friendly and check in and check out was smooth. I found no fault in our stay here and I'll be returning soon!”

“Stayed here for a few days. It was a nice small hotel. No elevator so be prepared to haul luggage up stairs. Rooms are decent with soft beds. Rooftop patio was nice and has a great breakfast restaurant downstairs.”

“This hotel is a great place to stay with the family. They had a full kitchen in the suite I stayed in so it can help you save some money on breakfast lunch or dinner while staying on the island. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. So grateful to have found this place!”

“Loved it place was clean. Went for my 6 year anniversary. Free shuttle service that drive you down to the pier with a call. And picks you up complimentary from the hotel. Hotel is a mile away from pier but on big hill so it is hard to go on ”
