It was scorching hot, up two flights of stairs, and the movers kept going without hesitation! Everyone at Catalina Transfer was fantastic.

The first few days of our move was scorching, and the movers kept going, not missing a beat. They completed the job as per the agreement, with everything in tact, nothing broken, and on time. I highly recommend!!

I use Catalina Transfer a lot and they handled my move over to the island, in addition to other new furniture deliveries. I kept telling them, this is the last one, but no. They are very friendly and go to extra lengths.

easily located at the marina. we were originally going to share a golf cart with another couple, but, line was too long. great pricing options for All-Day or Hourly. we did an hour prior to attending a sponsored event. took it around the city, to the casino and back to just south of this bike rental. service was friendly and bikes were in great shape. no rust or anything. they are very on top of letting you know where to go and more importantly, where NOT to go. cool ride on a beautiful summer day. highly recommend.

We rented 3 electric bikes for the day. Paying $60 for the day for each electric bike rental, you would think that they would have more comfortable seats. The seats were small and hard. Completely uncomfortable. Our friend started out with a bike that had a "wonky" pedal. We immediately returned the bike. Then a bit later took my bike back to hopefully exchange for a bike with a more comfortable seat. When we got back, the only bike they had was the bike our friend had originally returned with the bad pedal. When I simply asked if the pedal had been fixed, I was met with a crappy attitude by the maintenance tech who proceeded to tell me (in a completely rude manner and tone) that "of course it was fixed ... that is HIS job", and that was the only electric bike they had left to choose from. We reported this attitude when we returned the bikes and were given measly 10% discount coupons to some neighboring store. In addition, my husband had issues with his bike the entire time. It wouldn't kick into peddle assist most of the time, and my husband had to push really hard on his pedals to get the thing to move. It turned out to be a battery issue from what we could tell. We would have taken his bike back for an exchange, but knew from our last trip back that they didn't have any replacement bikes available. Being told at the beginning of our rental, if our batteries run low to just bring the bikes back and they'd just switch out the bikes ... well, how do you switch out the bikes if you have no replacement bikes available to switch out?

We had a great experience here! Not only was riding the ebikes around the island a total blast, but the guys at the shop explained everything well and got us out on the road quickly. We had an issue with one of the bikes, and they gave us extra time to compensate, without even being asked. I would absolutely use them again!

After reading many of the reviews on here (only after renting!) I feel comforted knowing I'm not the only one with a not-so-great experience. The person at the counter, a heavyset younger guy lacked any customer service skills. The girl beside him, didn't offer to assist or help at all either. She was just on looking down on her phone. My group and I were weighing our options on what we should do (tandem bikes, solo bikes, or gold carts) and we would ask questions to the guy and he spoke as if he were in a freaking library, no one could really hear him. Blank stares, rehearsed lines. The guy at the counter just felt empty and bored to be there. We felt like we were being an inconvenience to him when we, as tourists, just needed a little bit of information and recommendations. They hold on to your (or one person from your group) ID as collateral for the bicycles. To rent a 7-gear bike it's $10/hr, or $25/day, so we opted for the whole day. The bikes are decent, with wired baskets to hold your belongings. That's pretty much it. After reading another review, I guess there's a cheaper and nicer bike rental place within the area.. if I ever come back, I would likely look for them first.

Rude horrible manager on phone. Acted like he didn't want my business, Josh I believe was the name he gave. Seemed to specifically dispise Hamilton Cove residents. Wouldn't call back to be insulted by this punk or his business again as he seems to feel having a captive audience gave him a right to be abusive. They are associated with the only island barge and family running it which is usually nice and professional.

All the low reviews are CORRECT. Horrible customer service. Check out rentals two shops down. They're nicer and cheaper. Misa, the owner, who was also unavailable at the time, hires these young kids that have no manners and cannot solve simple problems. There were a lot of blank stares after simple questions were asked. Either blank stares, or repeated a rehearsal of responses. They were all the same responses. The bike handbrakes were obviously misplaced, which a simple wrench would be sufficient, however, instead of explaining why they were unable to move the handle brakes at the moment (which a simple wrench would do the trick) the representatives pinned the problem on us. The representatives are rude. Frankie, the heavy set boy, chuckled as we explained the brakes were in a position that made our wrists hurt upon braking. He turned to the other two slim boys to gesturing movements to mimic us. This review is for a summer, and it enrages me to remember this experience. I hope you make a smart move and do not go to this place. The only helpful person who was there at the moment was Hunter, who was polite.

Poorly maintained bike! Seat post clamp did not hold seat in correct position. Cassette needed to be replaced. Chain worn and kept skipping. Notified front office employee after ride. Offered another bike, by then had to return to cruise ship. Asked to talk with shops mechanic. Seemed like he was very uninterested in any repair or concerns.

When you need are moving to an area where there is just one option for a moving company... well... you brace yourself for the worst. Moving is never easy and I have to hand it to Catalina Transfer for working very hard to make the process easy for me. They moved not only my major shipment but also a second follow up shipment of furniture that arrived later so I used them twice in a 3 week period. The office staff was courteous, responsive and worked with me on scheduling as much as is possible in a small community. Like other smaller communities, you might get a call back the next day instead of the 24/7 customer service line we can get used to in a metro area. Rest assured, they have it all under control and handled. The team that actually moved my belongings were hard working, on-time, polite, and kept up a great effort despite the heat and the fact I am on a top floor, up four flights of stairs... BOTH delivery times. This part of moving went smoothly. Now Direct TV install... well... that's another review.

A great bike shop with a friendly staff. We tried the electric bikes and had a blast! This is the way to explore the island. We rented a golf cart the day prior and, if I had to choose one, I would definitely choose the electric bike!
