“If you're looking for local art, handmade -- UNIQUE -- souvenirs from your trip to Catalina Island, THIS IS THE PLACE. I have a tradition of purchasing a piece of local art from where I go and Afishinados Gallery had a lovely selection and I found the PERFECT oil painting. Every time I look at it I feel the peace I felt while looking at the beautiful sea views of Avalon. The shop owner is an artist herself and clearly loves her island. She's filled her darling store with the most charming pieces. there's something in there for everyone. Beautiful, whimsical, art, jewelry, etc. She knew the artist of the painting I purchased personally, of course, so I got a full background which made me feel even more connected to the piece. The store also has art from her artist friends that might not live on Catalina, but they've created original fish art just for Afishinados Gallery that one won't find anywhere else. While it's a small boutique, it's filled floor to ceiling with treasures at all price points. I bought two fish watercolors for about $55 each and the oil painting for $175. But there were amazing items at lower and higher price points. If you're looking for a tee-shirt made in China or a plastic key chain, this is NOT the place -- there are plenty of those available at a myriad of shops along the main drag in Avalon. This is the place for something truly special and authentic to the area and spirit of the island. Not to mention the shop owner who is charming and has a wealth of information of the island culture that she is happy to share. A really great destination and even if you don't plan to buy a souvenir, you should stop here and tour / window shop this gallery. It's a cool spot for sure!”

“Walk in and was greated nice and warmly. He was very passionate about his work and the studio. They have water proof 3 -4 day temp tattoos that are amazing! Black light art. It's a wonderful and awesome establishment. Greeger is awesome!”
