Great bookstore! New & used books. They have a very good selection, with some hard to find books.

Never answers the phone, insists on visiting store, people who are disabled can not always get out, and you do not want to take your new books or gently used ones here for sale. You will get an insulting offer, even when several of your large hard cover coffee table new books never used are in your box. Dissapointing

Friendly and SUPER knowledgeable. It’s my favorite book store of all time. They have it all.

I like reading science books and textbooks. Which are sometimes hard to find used since they aren't popular and a bunch of places throw them out. I was curious if Winston Smith books had any science books, they didn't have any textbooks but they had many science and math books. They have so many books for good prices. I got a few, I'll definitely be going back. Great for finding books of all kinds and hidden gems.

Wow... It's been a long time since I've encountered someone so rude and unfriendly, especially in Auburn, and super especially in a bookstore of all places. When you call, a message says they don't take calls and encourage you to come in with your books to trade or sell. I'm a writer and I love all things books. It's only better sharing them with others, so I was all in for a first trip to this shop. I picked today thoughtfully thinking that the weekend might be too busy and interrupt others shopping.
I had no real expectations about these books or their value. What I didn't expect was to be snapped at literally right after I walked in the front door with my sincere hello and good afternoon. What happened to me today was EXACTLY what another negative review stated a year ago. Obviously, there's been no growth here for this human being. The fit that took place seemed to revolve around the number of books I brought in with me. I'm not sure why he became so angry. If it wasn't a good day or there wasn't enough time for the amount of books I brought, that's all the information I needed. No big deal. After all, I had no way of calling. (Which he says is because he is too injured to use a phone.) If Seinfeld came back they could have a "No Books for You!" episode, because that's exactly what this felt like. In Auburn. WOW! I am SO thankful that I ran into someone really really kind later at the grocery store to undo this experience.

So glad there's a bookstore in Auburn! The owner is knowledgeable and has a big selection. Cool collection of local interest books, and he can order just about anything. He carries both new and used books so you can choose a book based on price or if it's not been loved before. If books make you happy, this place will make you happy.

This bookstore is my favorite. It's filled with books, wall-to-wall and floor to ceiling, yet it's spacious and open. Most bookstores are a bit claustrophobic for me.

Whoever was running it was extremely rude all instances I’ve visited. Bookstore was aesthetically pleasing to the eye (and as a business owner myself, I believe every business has the right to price at what they believe their products are worth, so I respectfully won’t comment on the prices). But, I will comment on the complete disrespect and hostile environment. I honestly don’t know how this place is so highly rated. I don’t know if it’s because of my ethnicity/race (I was getting some of those vibes), or what the reasoning was for, but I never was treated or talked to friendly by whoever was running the store at the time. I try to be understanding and possibly blame it on them having a bad day, but these “bad days” were one instance too many. Least I can say is that I’m never returning to this place, and I advise anyone who’s reading to take your money/time somewhere else (especially ethnic/racial minorities).

Excellent high quality selection. A vast array of beautiful vintage and brand new books. I would definitely give this place a jaunt!
