Don't use this company if you want your project completed in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered and paid for the material for my countertop over a month ago but they did nothing. The guys came out to draw the template for the countertop but the materials still weren't ordered. 4 days before my installation appointment and they're now saying "oops, too bad!" Apparently they ASSUMED that the material that I ordered more than a month ago would be available with one days notice but didn't bother to check. Now I'm going to be without a kitchen for six weeks instead of three because these people can't be bothered to do their jobs. Apparently this is their procedure. They wait until the day before they're ready to start fabrication before ordering the materials to be delivered. They don't find out until that day that the material is not in stock. So they could have ordered this when I paid for it or they could have ordered it after the template appointment but they chose to wait until the very last minute instead. They're not doing anything to fix the unnecessary problem that they caused because they don't care about their customers. Now they're telling me that everyone is going on vacation next week and basically, that it sucks to be me. Thanks so much Lowe's and RCI for this absolutely horrible experience.

I cannot believe the poor customer service and shoddy workmanship of this company. Not only have they lied about material, cut the material wrong but because I went through Lowe's I am stuck with them having to have paid in advance. After having missed work for 3 days trying to have the company come out they show up on a Friday evening not prepared to do the work. Stay away from ordering your counters through Lowe's in Sacramento this what you get for good money spent . I am a 3 tour Afghanistan Veteran never expected to have such bad luck with going with National Company to have my kitchen done. Would have been better off using Craig's list Don't waste your time or money with this company

Meghan was amazing! We were in need of a special product and she was able to find it for us and give us all the details prior to purchasing within minutes. Thanks for your help RCI!

I wish I could leave no stars on this review! We purchased Quartz Countertops from Lowe's- the BEST money can buy... RCI was the installer. They come out after making an appointment and do the template as they call it (basically tear out of all materials and they measure and check that your cabinets are stable. *Warning- you are without countertops for over two weeks, until they come back out to put in! They also don't repair or do anything to your damaged Sheetrock. They told us that we needed a dishwasher bracket installed now (50.00) which is ridiculous when they won't be back for two weeks, and you can easily do this yourself for around 7.00. They told us that our cabinets were perfectly aligned for the new countertops and we were all set. They said sometimes you have uneven cabinets which need to be fixed before they put the new countertops in (well we was in the 10 percent of having good cabinets that didn't need any work). Over two weeks went by and they came to install new countertops. Finished the work, but they put shims under some of the counter space due to the fact it was slightly uneven... hmmmm isn't that amazing considering my cabinets were good over two weeks ago. This company clearly doesn't know what they are doing, and definitely don't do what they say they will do time after time! I have called, emailed and talked to various people that lie and say they will give you a call right back and they are working on it. I sent my initial email two weeks ago about my complaints, and the last email I got was that they are working on a resolution to my issues. When you call you get the same thing... management is working on it and we should know shortly. BAD, BAD, BAD! The only positive information I have as of right now, is that Lowe's knows this company sucks and they are working on replacing them with someone else. Stay far away from this company wether they are doing the work third party or if you are considering hiring them for any work. The countertops are beyond beautiful, but the work and customer service part not so beautiful. So it's Been almost 4 weeks since any contact with this company after they promised they would be calling and getting back with me. I called today for an update (keep in mind almost 4 weeks since any contact). I talked to the girl, and she told me she was still working on it- she was taken back by my laughter... she goes why are you laughing and I started laughing again and said cause you told me that same like and a month ago! She states she is working with management to get something done. I told her that her company sucks and it's too bad that I was forced to use this worthless company! Another update- 6/25/2019. The company has promised to pay me my 50.00 back, they called me and said they had no record I paid them anything. After I gave them the check number this shady place put "Cash" in the 'To' part of the check, to make it look like I took cash out of my own account. LOL. They then said they would send me a Lowe's Gift Card... I don't want a Lowe's gift card... I want my money. Still no answer on this! Management is working on it, is all I hear! Poorly ran company, with poor customer service and bad employees all the way around! We will see if and when I receive my money! They are coming to fix my countertops and cabinets I had installed and putting up trim to cover their poor work! STAY FAR AW Donald Trump needs to come to this business, and "Make RCI Great Again". What a joke this place is! Yet, another update! 7/6/2019. They refuse to give me my 50.00 back in the same tender I paid- but they offered me a 50.00 gift card and I accepted, since this was the only option! Lowe's, does nothing to help with the situation. Company is coming to fix my shim issue on Monday 7/8/2019. They are adding trim to cover up the shims. Better than nothing. Stay far, far away from this company. They are crooked as can be

I am really surprised to see the negative reviews here. I had a great experience with RCI in Auburn. The Silestone counters I got look great, template and installation went very smoothly. They mounted the sink and cut the fixture holes perfectly. I had an unexpected family matter arise during my project so had to postpone installation, but they were very agreeable and scheduled me back up when I was ready. Also, I like that their shop has all the quartz offerings...Cambria, Silestone, Caesarstone, Zodiaq, etc. Some shops have only a couple but I liked being able to compare samples directly in the showroom, that is why I picked RCI. Based on my experience I would recommend and use again.

RCI did an awesome job with the installation of my kitchen countertops. RCI's admin staff and installers performed very professionally at every step of the installation process. They ensured accuracy of my plan drawings and used the latest laser technology for the templating process and cutting of the quartz countertop. During the installation of a 500-pound slab the crew took care during the moving and installation process not to damage anything. Much care and high quality of workmanship was displayed by the crew through the whole installation. Thank you RCI. Best, Cory Gin, Architect & Contractor

Only giving 1 star for the front office girl who scheduled my appointment and contact up until our instal and the guy who came out to do the measurements was helpful, or so I thought. After the measurements, we received a call from Lowe's stating that we owed more (you pay by the estimate) due to us selecting "no seam" in our granite and causing an 8 sqft increase of material. First, when the man came out to measure he simply stated that he would be able to fit our countertops on one slab and there would be no need for a seam. I was never asked if this was something we wanted or not he just stated this and kept on. We later found out that the 8 sqft additional charge was an upcharge for using more of the granite slab (still doesn't make sense, but was what we were told). Due to cost, we decided to go with a seam. 2 weeks after the measurements and removal of our old counters, we had our installation appointment. The night before I received a call saying our instal window was from 8am- 1pm. My fiancé works in law enforcement and was unexpectedly held over at work, so I had to take the morning off work to be there. 1pm can and went, and a half hour later I received a call from the office saying they would be late and now would be there between 2-2:30pm. This was frustrating, since I could have gone into work, had I known that earlier. Our installer didn't show up until 3pm (being generous with that time). When he arrived, I'm sure he could tell I was frustrated and instead of providing any customer service, was extremely rude and talked to me like I was stupid about a water line for the sink. Once that issue was resolved, he began working and the entire job took about 2.5- 3 hours. Since this company will no hook the sink back up, my fiancé did this when he got off work. Unfortunately the hole in the granite that was cut by RCI, was not cut correctly and was about .5of an inch off center from the hole for our sink, even with the installer taking our sink template 2 weeks prior to install. We have also discovered that our sink was installed crooked and not sealed evenly. I called Lowe's to let them know what had happened and they blamed RCI and said they would have someone contact us, which they did, but I have called back twice and am never able to get through to anyway or a voicemail. I would not recommend or use Lowe's or this company again for future installation projects

This company did a great job for me! I used a product that melted my Corian leaving me with horrible splotches in the middle of my counter. The guys cut around each splotch and replaced the circles with Corian seamlessly: you would never guess a repair was done! They also took off my old counter top from the island, and helped me by cutting it into a new counter for my workbench in the garage. RCI worked great for me!

Zero stars - The team did not show up when committed to be here, did not finish the job as promised, left me an extra three days without a sink or stove, was here after 6pm in the evenings and did not clean up. They left construction garbage on my kitchen floor, did not cover drawers and everything had to be emptied and cleaned and left the old counters on my front lawn which created dead spots.

Absolute nightmare. The only reason that I had any dealings with this so-called organization is because they contract with Lowe's. (And I really like Lowe's!) RCI Countertops made multiple mistakes and caused me a great deal of inconvenience. They never took responsibility for anything and I was forced to contact them after every single one of their many screw-ups. First, they showed up to do my install and told me *after* they arrived that they did not have all of the quartz pieces I had ordered. So then I called them - multiple times - to get them to schedule the installation of the missing piece. They came back and it was the wrong size! So I call them again - multiple times - to reschedule. I made an appointment and they don't show up - no call, nothing. I called them again - multiple times - and finally get another appointment. Absolutely horrible!

Horrendous. I was required to deal with RCI through IKEA. First they said they weren't even responsible for the installation, but after several calls to IKEA, RCI and Caesarstone, they realized they were. When they finally arrived with the countertop, it was cut wrong and it had a larger sink reveal than the sink outline. They claimed the latter was "standard" -- over the course of a five hour period I kept phoning and emailing, and having the installers phone, to find someone at the company who would deal with the issue, and of course the installer became more and more belligerent -- they were all extremely rude, including the measuring people. They basically claimed I was stupid to ask for something different. Of course, it was cut wrong anyway and they had to recut on site. I have since uncovered that they don't cut for a flush reveal because it requires too much exactness. Of course, every other sink I have installed has an expert flush reveal. They claimed they would give me a credit. They haven't. They also damaged a cabinet door and claimed they would give me a credit. They haven't. Then they installed with glue that is visible within the stone (somehow, when it's supposed to be impermeable). They will not respond to emails about these problems. This is not a question of just ineptness, it is unethical behavior. Totally ridiculous.

I was forced to deal with RCI Countertops when I ordered and paid for my quartz countertop from Ikea. The experience was a nightmare. First, RCI measured the cutout for my sink wrong, which was only discovered when they came out to install it. That delayed the project two more weeks. When they finally came back again to install the correct countertop, they damaged it and my walls during installation, and they left a mess. The countertop damage (a large chip) meant that my contractor had to build out the behind the sink to hide it. The charge to do that and to repair the other walls they damaged was $600. After someone came out to look at the damage, I received an email saying that the check was in the mail. That was a lie. Two weeks later, after complaining to them and to Ikea, they finally overnighted the check to me. On top of all that, getting simple questions answered along the way took far too long. Customer service offered very little in the way of communication skills and support. In the thick of it all, I was told, "the owner is aware of the issue and making it a priority." Empty words, unfortunately. I had to call them every day for two weeks for updates-- no one bothered to call me-- and every time I called it was a entirely frustrating experience. I was put on hold a number of times and one day hung up on four times in a row (they blamed the phone system). Basically, day after day, they treated this issue as if this was my problem not theirs. The level of incompetence at this company is just stunning. Bottom line: Don't use this company. If you order a countertop from Ikea and you're told that RCI will do the install, demand to work with another company.

When purchasing quartz from ikea you have to deal with these folks. They gave me an installation date, I took the day off work, and they didn't show up. They came 2 days later. They were to install pure white quartz in 3 places. Upon close inspection they installed two different products. The owner came and verified the error and offered me $500 or a replacement. I chose the $$ because the difference was slight and I would have to get the painter back out too, costing me more money. That was in May 2018. It's August 2018 and I still have not received the check despite numerous calls and promises that "the check is on the way". I was then told, after complaining and requesting the check be sent overnight, that it was sent overnight and given a tracking number. The tracking number was invalid. I finally received the check. This is the most ridiculous experience I've had with a contractor. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

The people who came to template and install were excellent! They arrived early within the "window" and called to let me know they were on the way. They were polite and treated my home and me very well. It was a little frustrating that scheduling wasn't confirmed until the last minute but the people on the phone were polite and professional The finish product is beautiful and I am, ultimately, very happy!
