Why do people say this place is closed as it was clearly open today 5/8. It is a sweet, small shop but full of wonderful Japanese gifts. I found a beautiful small noodle bowl with chopsticks as a gift. The lady there was kind and helpful and gave a beautiful gift bag with my purchase. I love these places and the are a needed option to all the junk, everyday stuff in stores. I am totally pleased with my experience so people just do a little zen before you offer an opinion.

Updated now of nine hundred fifty five comments! Of comments, this is updated of nine hundred fifty five on August 24, 2021! I see my first of August 11, 2021 has thirteen votes!I the TIGER will again say, THEY ARE NOT CLOSED! Okay, I the TIGER will repeat for the emphasis, THEY ARE NOT CLOSED! I been walking here, been speaking with the owner, so since I been speaking with her, the owner, it just cannot be closed! She thinks that a business on the street that this Omiyage had been, she thinks that owner had said instead just moving, they decided to write on the YELP area that the Omiyage is closed! It cannot be closed, I been speaking with the owner! There all kind items of Japanese souvenirs! There origami paper with the books on how to do the origami, there are garden spinners, there are kimonos, even chop sticks and the chop stick holders! There are tea pots. Ah yes indeed, this Omiyage is very much open! As the owner and I joke, Are We Maybe In The Twilight Zone (music playing in background)! Okay, where is think his name was Rod Serling? No, this Omiyage is indeed open! To help the Local People that read this, after all the Local People should know better than out of town people than out of state people, they are located next to the very historic post office in the Historic Part of town Auburn! Again the Local People should know what TIGER means by Historic Part, I really not sure the proper name of it, but if Local Person reading this, they will know what I talking of when mention the very historic post office! I am informed Omiyage is Japanese word for souvenir, that seems appropriate for this store!

This is a really cute shop. A variety of Japanese decor and accessories, cards, tea sets, even robes.
