Overall service for a 65,000 milage maintenance check-up was good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Car ran better after the service. It was an all-day event which was a little surprise. Was told it would half a day when I made appointment. Only concern was the cost. I called another source (dealer) after the service and it was less by 20% and they address any open warranty items at no cost. M45 told me they do not do warranty/recall work. Overall, I am satisfied with M45 but I will probably try other source just so I have two places that can work on car.

My honest review: I was charged almost $1,000 for 3 - 3.5 hours of work to install some aftermarket parts prior to getting a pro tune. At the time of this review, their hourly labor rate was $225.. The math doesn’t add up, I was overcharged. Needless to say, I should have gotten a quote prior to driving two hours to have the work done. I mistakenly assumed that their price would be fair due to the countless 5 star reviews I read. I was wrong in my assumption. Yes, the quality of work is very important, but one should be charged a fair price for actual time worked. A good reminder to always get a quote first. What started off as a very good experience, turned into a bad one, in which I felt taken advantage of. For that reason, I would not recommend M45 Automotive.
My experience with getting a tune from Travis at Snail Performance on the other hand was VERY GOOD! I will definitely come back for future re-tunes from him. I will just make sure additional performance mods are installed in advance.

I am an amateur mechanic and recently bought a 2008 Outback XT. It had an oil leak. Long story short, I pulled the engine and had the heads and engine rebuilt at M45. I also replaced all of the seems like a hundred different hoses. I worked with John Anderson the service director, machine, service and parts shop intimately to complete the project. It was a pleasure and very reasonably priced. If in Norcal this is the Subaru shop for you.

I took my 07 Legacy outback into M45 with it running terrible. It took some time to figure what the problem was. Once they found what it was, they had me back on the road in no time! The car is running perfect now! Very happy with their work and customer service. Seth in the main office crushed it! ??

Was told by another tuner my car wasn’t running correctly (attempting to do an E-Tune) so I searched and came across M45. I was a little skeptical and it was 1.5 hr drive to and from but Seth and Travis made it quick and easy. They put it on the dyno found no issues and it was 91/E50 tuned and ready to go in less than 2 hours. I hardly ever write reviews or recommend places but I had to do it for this shop. Thanks guys ! Definitely will

Such a great experience here! Took my car to a few places with no luck on figuring out what was wrong with it.. until finally i was sent here! They truly care for their customers and are hands down the best shop I have been to! Appreciate you guys! Thaaank you!! You're the best!!

As a person in the Industry for 20 years, I don't let people touch my car. I'm happy to say, Don and Travis exceeded my expectations. Best Subaru shop I have ever been to super up front and professional I lost around 30k on my Subaru trying to have a fun car and they came and fixed it up and helped me with my build so much John and don were both amazing if you want your modified Subaru fixed up take it to them only people who can do it don’t waste your time and money on the cheap shop
