Nice little farm to fork store, for a quick bite or some fresh produce and meat.

You must stop at this place if you are in the area! I always heard about this place as a kid and forgot how good it was. Their pie are to die for and worth the 30 price point. I love the Dutch apple pie and would get it again if I went back. I also tried the berry pie and that was good too but was pretty sweet. I love how this place has hot foods and frozen food that is available as well as fresh groceries. If you're looking for a place to stop definitely think about coming here if you can. The food will not dissapoint.

We went back today and purchased our 5 get one free Chicken pot pies as well as a few other yummy things. I am pleased to report that the chicken pot pie has returned to be what I always enjoyed. Thank you for fixing it or maybe I just caught a bad batch. But my compliments on the pies. They are delicious!!

Pie is good. Fruit. Meat and veggie pot pies. Burgers and fries ok. Eat in store or picnic or take frozen away

Ok revising my review - after trying the Dutch apple crumble pie - this is definitely better than their triple berry pie. It's the slight acidity or sourness that complements the sweet crust and topping that truly highlight this pie over the others. Recommend that if you're getting a pie, to get this one Also, on revisiting - noticed a lot of people have milkshakes we so decided to try a few next door. They also can mix in pies to smoothies of your choice for an additional cost We tried the strawberry milkshake, mocha milkshake, and a mocha milkshake mixed in with chocolate truffle pie. The best ones seem to be the fruit based milkshakes! The mocha wasn't that great, overly sweet (heavy on the ice cream and less on the mocha), perhaps I should have tried the coffee instead.

We usually go hear for yhe pies. We tried their burgers for the first time, and they were good. It's definitely full afterward. They get super busy but have indoor and outdoor seating. While waiting for food, you can go to the market and buy other products or even their specialty pies. The parking lot is very busy, but we always find parking as people don't tend to stay as long there. Just be a little patient. It is kind of pricey but worth it. The hamburgers are better fresh, but good for takeout orders as well.

Made a pit stop here from our snow day trip! We heard about the pies and got cherry, pecan, and beef pot pie. I haven't tried the savory pie yet but the pecan pie and cherry pie are perfection. The cherry pie is actually sweet and not sour, the crust is the perfect thickness. The pecan pie is deliciously caramelized and the right amount of nuts. They also have fun other locally made goods - candy, fried fruits, nuts, chips, sauces. Worth checking out the market for full sized pies both sweet and salty! I got garlic chips for fun and if you like garlic you'll definitely enjoy these chips.

Hubby and I had a hamburger. It was really good. Picked up some muffins and chips and lemon dill aioli so yummy. Can get really busy. Best to go on a weekday if you can

Came here for lunch on the way to Tahoe. No frills, home-y market that has both a standard market to buy produce and also a hot food side that serves sandwiches, burgers, pot pies and fruit pies to name a few. This place is BUSY during lunchtime but service is quick and we didn't have to wait too too long. Also the portions are huge so if you're not a big eater I'd recommend sharing a sandwich with someone else. What we ordered: Teriyaki chicken burger: eating this sandwich is pretty messy but really good and would order again. The teriyaki sauce isn't too sweet and doesn't leave you feeling heavy after eating it. Chicken pot pie: husband ordered this and he said the meat pie crust here is better. If we he were to go back he'd pass on this and get the meat pie. Curly fries: standard curly fries, can't go wrong. Overall unique and good lunch spot but don't expect it to be a quick pit stop.

I have passed this place for many years but we finally stopped by for a late lunch and it was great. We got the tasty burger and tri trip sandwich and both were juicy. My kids loved the burger and the nuggets. We also got the coconut cream pie which was not too sweet. The service was good and there is a nice spot to eat. I will definitely be back next time we go to Tahoe.

Ikeda's is so busy inside and outside! It is a really great stop along the way to North Lake Tahoe from the Bay Area, to have lunch, go to the restroom, and buy snacks and/or pies, meats, anything - it's a big, beautiful, fresh selection. One of the main things that draws people is the fresh baked and varied pie selections, and the lunch! You can purchase items and food in the store side, or order burgers, fries, shakes, and slices of pie in the cafe side. I tried the seasonal milkshake flavor, mandarin orange, and it was delicious! It reminded me very much of creamsicles, so if you like those then this is a great milkshake flavor for you. I purchased a whole strawberry rhubarb pie and took it to Tahoe with me. I saw the fresh-baked pies being stacked up and got to pick a warm one to buy! When I warmed it in the oven later, I ate it with vanilla ice cream and it was so delicious. The pie filling had enough structure to not fall apart when I cut slices out of it, and it was soft, sweet, and tart inside. The rhubarb balanced out the flavor well to make the pie not too sweet. The crust was delicious as well, and complimented the filling nicely. I would buy pie from Ikeda's many more times when I pass through the area. And, when you order a meal from the cafe side of Ikeda's, you can hear your order number being called when it is ready for pickup from ANYWHERE at Ikeda's! They have a microphone/speaker system throughout the place, which gives you the freedom to shop and look around, and hear your order number from the cafe side, store side, outside, and even in the restroom. One last note about the place as a nice stop on a road trip is that the bathrooms (accessed from outside the shop) are respectably clean.

Love their pies. We tried their tripleberry, Dutch apple and peach pie. I recommend buying them by the slice if you aren't sure. If you want the classic, go with apple pie. My preference is the peach pie.

OMG... I dream of their pies - chicken pot pies, all the time. So thank heavens they have frozen ones you can take home for that cold, dreary part of winter that needs a comforting bellyful of perfectly made chicken pot pie. Also... their fruit pies are perfection. Don't forget they're a whole market with yummy fruit and veggies, burgers and more... We are so lucky to have Ikeda's in CA.

I love Ikeda's!! It's one of my dad's favorite stops in California. A great place to get pies (my favorite is banana cream), burgers (I got the Teri burger), giant corn nuts + tons of other snacks, and a pog frozen dessert w/ soft serve! The ambiance is very casual, and the staff has been nice. I love the aisles of tons of one-of-a-kind snacks and always happy to support a family-owned business!! Definitely worth the stop!
