“This is where the big $20 million Set For Life scratcher was sold. And this is where I get my craft beer. Foothill Market stocks: Liquid Gravity, Sudwerk, Revision, Crooked Lane, Big Sexy, Altamont, New Glory, Bullmastiff, Tower, Black Plague, Dust Bowl, Pliny, ect... The best feature of this store is, you can buy a single beer or receive a 5% discount on a mix and match four pack. I would recommend checking the dates on the craft beer before you purchase them. “I dont live here in Auburn but I do pass through to see relatives in Nevada City and about a year ago I went in to this store and was really impressed with deli, and everything else, but mostly by the well stocked shelves of nice bourbon's at reasonable prices. If you hit that store on the right day you can get hard to find bourbon's but they go fast!.One one of those days I saw the shelves were being stocked by employees whom as it turned out were the managers of the liqueur department and that would be Dave C. and I believe her name is Patty. I ended up learning from them that if you want something special they will actually keep an eye out and let you know if it comes in. And that actually happened the other day so thank you so much for the follow through and excellent customer service!”
“I stopped in here for the first time a few days and chatted with the owner. She is very knowledgeable and friendly.
The atmosphere she is creating here is fantastic and her passion for bringing community together is very attractive.

“Tried Safeway delivery which is new for my area. Great service - ordered on Friday and was offered same day delivery even though the store is bout 30.minutes drive away. Delivery charge was minimal. I chose next day morning and it was delivered on time.
Very few stores offer delivery to my town in the foothills - thank you Safeway!”
“I was at the Auburn store and having issues with the app. and had an item I wanted to purchase that required clipping a coupon on the app.. The store was really busy, but the checkers are fast and efficient and whittled the lines down really fast. Once the lines diminished, manager Curtis Atwood helped me resolve my issue with the app. Thank you Curtis”

“It's a funky, little store, but I like it. I used to take my Papa here every week. The proprietor always remembered him and what he bought. He always kept Papa's items in stock.My Papa passed away on December 20th, 2021. The owner still remembers me. I appreciate how he takes care of his customers.I don't give it 5 stars because it isn't the nicest, cleanest store. It's a blender out there! I always lock my car to when going in for a quick trip.”
“Stop for gas as it was on our side of the street. Gas was lowest CASH price at this intersection. Can accommodate 4 cars for gas. Being a weekend it was VERY busy. Little chaotic, but not dangerous. Hubs said you have to peek in the store. First thing I noticed they had a restroom. Got the key easily. Clean bathroom. The mini mart is amazingly packed with all the things a road trip or quick stop on one's way home needs. All the fancy drinks. Lots of alcohol choices. Snacks! Large frisbee assortment. What?! Is there frisbee golf near by?”

“I am writing this Yelp because after a bad Deli sandwich experience about 1 month ago, I thought I would give the Deli department another try. Today I went into the store and stopped at the Deli Sandwich Bar. I was promptly greeted by Jonathan who had a smile on his voice and a friendly greeting. OK, that's the way to start off. I ordered a large sandwich and he made me a beautiful sandwich. By that, I mean he thought about the sandwich as he made it. The spread covered the entire surface of the bread, the meat was laid out so it was on the bread and not spilling off the sides, the cheese was applied with equal precision so it covered the bread and meat. I asked if he would microwave the bacon so it was crisp and he said, "of course". He toasted the entire sandwich, cut it in half, wrapped it and it was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the sandwich. Jonathan was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Jonathan for a great sandwich- you obviously take pride in your work and it shows. “The store smells like some weird chemical when you walk in and I have noticed some of their produce has that smell and tastes weird, one had a bitter taste that I couldn’t wash off. Mostly the apple and the pears I tried. Maybe it’s some weird wax they put on their produce. All their apples I’ve tried have been mealy and taste old. Otherwise the store seems fine.”

“Always fresh produce, meat and deli items. Ample parking. Clean bathrooms. Never "too" busy. professional, helpful associates. I've ordered several special order cakes and they are always exactly what I've asked for AND delicious. Does have a pharmacy, deli, donut/coffee bar.”

“This place is worth raving about. The owner literally gave me a full on pep talk as I was grabbing gas before nervously heading on my way to meet my boyfriends parents for the first time. You can tell he genuinely cares about the lives of his patrons. He had a sweet doggie resting with him in the store as well. I love the vintage gas pumps, that is too cool. You never see stuff like that anymore and they've been so well taken care of. It looked like there was almost a diner of sorts inside in addition to the quick mart but I did not stay to check it out. This seems like a real staple of Clipper Gap and definitely more than just a gas station, but a true part of the community.”
