This is by far the best "corner" store in Atwater. (Period) Sonny the owner is such a nice, friendly and welcoming guy. You can always strike up a conversation with him while your grabbing your goods. His prices beat anything around town and has a very good wide selection of items you would need.

Rude staff, and their fountain sodas taste off on a regular basis.

Stopped in on my lunch hour looking for Halloween decorations. Found just what I was looking for and at a great price! I walked right up to the cashier to check out. Staff was fast and friendly.

I love the bargains and the extra help to load my cart/car. There's always an associate walking around willing to help load heavy items in my cart and to help me unload it in my car. As an expecting mother, getting a little help to load heavier items has become the most important factor where I shop now. The associates at the other grocery stores in town either refuse to help (because it's not their job) or sloppily throw the item in my cart/car. I get better and more consistent service here. I even got help loading and unloading six 20-lb bags of ice for a picnic back in June! I offered to tip the young man who helped me but he declined, smiled and told me "It's just part of my job."

Grocery Outlet is a store that sells discounted food and toiletry items. You can get some really outstanding deals here! Tip: When you're buying food, be sure to check the expiration dates - the way these stores operate is they sell items food items that are often just short of their expiration dates, so look before you buy. This particular location is well organized and clean - highly recommended!

Hands down best G-Outlet I've been to. Picked up wonderful red wine, dry cider, champagne, plus very cheap blackberries and strawberries. Their selection of produce and alcohol is substantially better than Bay Area G-Outlets. Same great organic chips/crackers and cheese selection. This place is seriously worth a stop by. I come here every time I visit my parents.

They have great prices on produce and non-perishables, but they don't for dairy/soy and meats. They also have organic products for really cheap, one time got a tub of organic spinach for $1.99 and a can of organic ravioli for $0.99 (didn't taste the best tbh). Tofu is also well priced and isn't old and sour. So far I've purchased two items that were on expiration date (bean sprouts and yogurt) and they tasted okay. They switch up their inventory frequently, which may or may not be a good thing, depends on what you're looking for. The parking lot kind of sucks because there aren't places to drop off carts and there are some sketchy looking people since it's near a dollar store. I wouldn't want to go at night. It's not as good as the one in Elk Grove I regularly go to back at home, but at least it has a much nicer vibe than the other discount grocery stores like Foodmaxx and Food 4 Less. Overall, this is a good place to get groceries.
