Took my dog in to get groomed and John did an amazing job! She looks more beautiful than I imagined. Would definitely recommend The Golden Paw to anyone.

The owner (John) had taken over while Jacqueline was away. He is a most UNPLEASANT man. Did not arrive until after noon . Kept dogs locked up far too long. Will not go back there!!!

I have two standard poodles, both around 7 or 8 years old. Jacklyn is in the ball, very communicative, efficient, safe, and kind. My dogs love her. I used to groom my own dogs for 20 years. My body and age don't move the same as it used to work. Golden Paw Atascadero is worth the money and miles.

I wish I had the option to do zero stars. Over the weekend, I brought my dog in to get taken care of only to have him given back to me with a bleeding paw and aching jaw. His groomer, Jacklyn, lost patience with him and proceeded to yank off a nail from the root. I don't know if she was holding his head too hard or if she was simply careless, but I do know that my dog is traumatized. He went from being lovable and friendly, to cowering in a corner, limping, and not being able to eat well after his visit. Shame on you.

I have had a really hard time finding a groomer! I had a great experience at Pet Smart the first time but not so much our second time and it is a bit of a drive from where I live. I wanted to find someone local and Jacqueline was able to squeeze me in today for a "puppy bath and sanitary trim" . She was very knowledgeable and my little guy came home looking and smelling a lot better! I am thankful to have found her and look forward to continuing our visits.

I've tried to call this place a few times today no one answers the phone ever. I guess I should say that they might be good but if they don't ever answer the phone how will we ever know if I can't make an appointment. Who knows maybe in the future I'll give them another try but sad when no one answers the phone when you call.
