Been coming to La Regina off and on since the 90s! Not only is the owner Jeanie an absolute breath of fresh air, she is a hair genie (see what I did there?)! She has taken many cut and color courses at Sassoon, and continues to expand her expertise by enrolling in a make-up academy! There's no cattiness or negative vibes around Jeanie, she keeps it 100% business, and genuinely cares for every client's well-being. Go in and see her! But don't forget to make an appt. first! ;)

A long time patron first time yelper :P My sister recommended Jeannie to me. She is good with hair cuts and very creative .She's also good with colors if you wanted something different and still keep up with the trends. She has bubbly personality , she tells you like it is. She is not "supercuts" or " star hair stylists" but she is Vidal Sassoon trained . Yes the downside is she is busy even has to wait in spite of appts and yes , she does rented out space for another nice lady who's clienteles are mostly mature women but that won't change the fact ; you get a good cut/trim , styles, colors and friendly service. If you wanna cheap no skill cut ? This is not your place lol

I came here last Saturday to cut & dye my hair. I came w/ a friend so we can both get our hairs done together. Our appointment was at 10:30 a.m. and we had to wait about 1 hr 'til we got started, but it wasn't that bad of a wait even if we were on a time schedule because there's a McDonald's right next to this plaza so we chowed down on some breakfast. A+ for customer service. Honestly, she has really great customer service skills and you can talk to her about anything. Let's get to the real deal now. Dye JOB: I loved my hair color. She mixed 4 different colors to get my color. some reddish brown. Price for short-medium length hair was $100. I honestly thought it was too expensive for a dye job. She also forgot I was getting my hair dyed so she cut it 1st instead of dying 1st, but for my friend she dyed 1st then cut 1st. I don't know how pricing goes for that. Cut JOB: Okay before I got my haircut, it was supppeeerrr long down to my waist. I still wanted my hair long. I never wanted short hair. I don't know what happened. She showed me how much she was going to cut, but when she started cutting, she cut waaaayyyyy too much off and by that time it was too late. Cut price was $45.00. Altogether $100 dye + $45 cut + $20 tip = $165.00 Would i go there again? : Probably not. I did love my hair color, but she's way too expensive. Plus my friend got her hair cut, dyed, and wholehead highlights and her bill came out to $300 something. WHICH IS BOGUS. We spent 6 hours in the salon -_-

I have a bit longer than shoulder length hair and it needed some trim plus i had the stupid idea of cutting my own bangs and it looked horrible so i needed a stylist. Someone recommended this place to my mom so both my mom and i went there. BTW we're korean and so is this lady but she is fluent in english. She was pretty busy even though i had made an appointment I had to wait 20 minutes so that was the only minus point. She was cutting a guy''s hair, then mine, then my mom's and then some other lady who was waiting and it was already time for her shop to close (i think she just stayed late) so I'm guessing she is popular. I was afraid she would do a rush job with mine, but she took time to look at my hair, ask what i wanted and show me some facts about my hair and hairline and what will work and what won't. I guess for my kind of hairline, i just can't have choppy bangs or any kind of short bangs. boohoo, but i am thankful that someone finally told me this after 20 years of going to various salons! overall, she put some layers in, cleaned it up, gave me long wispy bangs, and i love it. everyone who's seen it likes it as well. my mom got a cut as well and she likes it too and i think it looks great. she does not try to sell up, which is nice. oh yeah, the only downer is that it cost $45 which might be cheap for normal salons but i'm used to asian salons that charge $20-25. Kudos for Jeannie though to charge what she wants. She has a regular stream of customers so i guess they think it's worth it. I'm not sure if I'll be back, only cuz I have a friend who cuts hair and she charges only a bit more.

It was a random Saturday afternoon and I was still deciding whether I should cut my bangs or not. I asked around and my mother in law recommended this lady to me. For $45 (wash, cut and style), I was gonna try it out. I really didn't know of any other salons in the Cerritos area except for Regis at the mall but I wasn't willing to spend over $100 to to just get my hair styled. Jenny was my stylist. She washed, cut and styled my hair in like 25 minutes! Very friendly lady with a great smile. You'll feel very welcomed although I did feel a little out of place with all the other old ladies in the salon. I guess Jenny rented out the space to make use of her space and money. Overall her hair cut was okay. My layers falls beautifully on my shoulders. She kept my length and just trimmed all around. I did want her to straighten my hair with an iron but she felt that the "shape was good" with the volume. I didn't like it and she seemed to be in a rush so I decided to just let it go. Overall not bad for a quick do at a reasonable price.
