Very expensive, charged over twice as much as our previous accountant who retired. We were told that he charged more because he has more education than our previous accountant. His receptionist Kate is very pleasant and helpful. He may be good for large companies but not so much for the little guy.

The team at Rohr always takes care of us great to our yearly taxes (5 years now). I've also gotten some solid business setup advice from Daniel. Kate on the front always gets me schedule, misc questions answered and for all the e-filing each year. Thank you all!

Daniel and his firm have been incredibly helpful over the years and I really trust them. They have been my family's tax preparers and advisors since 2016. My family and I lived on the CA Central Coast for about 18 months and even though my family and I moved back to the SF Bay Area in early 2018 we have kept Rohr & Assoc. as our tax advisors and preparers. When my father died in 2015, I took over the investments and tax preparation for my mother, who has Alzheimer's. I really didn't know what I was doing. Daniel reviewed my parents' tax return for that years and found mistakes from the previous tax preparer and refiled on my mother's behalf. I was very impressed and so appreciative of his review and advice. Daniel and his associates have continued to be tax advisors and preparers for me and my immediate family as well as for my mother. I value his input and advice. He and his team are very customer focused and strategic in how they've approached my family's and my mother's tax situations. Now my wife and I are faced with becoming conservators for our disabled son and managing his finances. This is new territory for us, but I have confidence that Daniel and his firm will be supporting and advising us along the way. I highly recommend Daniel and his firm. They are true professional.

This guy cost me 12,500 because he entered the wrong SSN for my stepdaughter who was living with us for over a year and a half. He tried to refile and it was denied. Talking to attorneys.

Not an exaggeration, this is probably one of the worst CPAs on the central coast. My boyfriend hired them for his 2020 taxes and it was a nightmare. I say that not because they didn't update him with the bill for 6 months (and then uncharged him). It's not because they didn't give him the proper filing information. Its not that somehow he ended up paying 3x the proper amount to the Tax Board. It was that after all of their mistakes, they still didn't finish the job and he needed a new CPA.... Avoid this company, trust me.

Process felt rushed - not well thought out.... Made an appointment with receptionist over the phone to review modification of filing status and clean up some business partner tax obligations. Receptionist was 1st class - probably the only thing I really liked about the experience. She ended up having to move my original appointment which she profusely apologized and called me personally to adjust. She just was very nice. Met Daniel spent about 1.25 hours with him in a conference room where we discussed my current business and possible ideas to sort business partner complications, previous year filings and possible avoiding penalties. He recommend that I filed as a C corporation in attempt to avoid some penalties. In our visit I explained to him that I was looking for long term options and I wasn't interested in managing this current situation any more. I needed help. I repeatedly asked for some long term solutions possibly something set up on a continual retainer and really was looking for a price or a number ,offering shares or "mike pay this flat rate a month - and we will manage everything". In the end it seemed as like I couldn't get a straight story to exactly how much everything would cost as well as wouldn't get a straight story on future ongoing costs. Couldn't really get a number. Daniel followed up with a professional letter explaining urgency to file as a C corporation to avoid penalties , however again I was looking for something more long term with a firm. I ended up telling him thank you but I'd have to find another firm. He quickly asked me to pay him for his time which I did promptly. In the end very happy I went with another firm because I saw exactly how much the tax rate would have cost my business in the long run filing as a C corp instead of an S corp - peanuts compared to small immediate penalties. Felt like I was treated like a quick close rather than a long term solution. Would have paid for a long term solution.

Daniel and his team do a great job. We have been clients for years, and will continue. He has shown that he cares about keeping clients long term, and that matters to us. Continuity and good advice means everything in this world of confusing tax code. Where his father, David Rohr, who was our tax preparer for many years, only was an enrolled agent, Daniel is a CPA and certified financial advisor. HIs knowledge base is vast, and he can give advise that will help you build your business in the long run. He gave me a great idea for lowering taxes and increasing the profit on my business. I had terrible experience with a local tax prep company and Rohr & Associates fixed their errors like pros. I highly recommend Rohr & Associates for their efficiency and professionalism. I will be going to them from now on!
