If I had one word to describe my experience here at LDC, it’s: Family. Our doggie, Pearl, has always suffered from anxiety and a fear of socializing. Today she is so much better due almost exclusively to the love, care and patience shown to her by Carolyn and her staff. We can’t recommend Love Dog’s Camp enough.

We moved to the Central Coast from Los Angeles 6 months ago and worried about finding a place we could board our anxious rescue dog -- until we found Love Dogs Camp. It has been such a blessing! Because our dog liked staying there so much, we started her in socialization classes two days a week as well, and she has blossomed. She gets a lot of attention from the trainers/employees, and they have also helped me understand how I can work with her on her behavior. They have also saved me from making expensive vet visits. We now no longer worry about our dog while we are out of town; compare that to the first time we left her with another boarding place up here; our dog tried to escape from her kennel and ended up ripping out one of her toenails, which was a traumatic experience for her and cost us $2000 in vet bills. Overall, we have been thrilled with our experience and find the people at LDC to be knowledgeable, kind, and caring animal lovers. Our dog loves the days she gets to "go to camp."

I am very sad that dogs have to deal with the confusion of new people taking care of them so often and are fed hotdogs and pasta nearly every day instead of real and healthy food. As well as the dogs' favorite employees that they connect with and learn from to be taken from them. Carolyn hired and fired, or drove away, over ten employees in less than two months. She lies and fires for absurd reasons as well as discriminates in the hiring process and client choices. I've never been in a more toxic and disrespectful work environment than this place. I fully expect her to comment on this and say untrue things, that's fine, it's who she is as a person, myself and all the employees she has driven away know what is factually true. Carolyn stays on a couch all day and does not step a single foot in the yard with the pups, ever, leading her to be unaware of anything that happens with the pups during the day. She talks badly about some dogs and does not properly read the behavior of others, leading her to put your companions in uncomfortable situations. Too unqualified and undignified to have a business with animals, or people. Dogs have been bit and left bleeding and we were told not to talk to the owners, it was absolutely dispicable. Please consider finding a more consistent and cleaner dog day care, one with enough employees that they dont have to constantly break up fights or leash all the dogs all day. I have cancer and other medical issues and was specifically hired to work only two days a week, my reason for being let go was "Because you are not able to fulfill the required work schedule," by working a third day but I was never asked if I could add another day to my permanent schedule. She does not uphold her business mantra.

Carolyn and her staff are extended family to us. They have done so much to help raise and train our dog to be a sociable and loyal companion. She loves playing with all sizes of friends and we get thorough reports from the staff when we pick her up. Whether you’re new puppy parents like us or seasoned dog owners, this place will always communicate and strive to provide a fun and safe environment for your dog(s).

When I visited Carolyn's dog care Love Dogs Camp I would not hesitate to return with my dog Prince who remains the mascot for the Fidm Scholarship Store. A loving place that cares alot!

Horrible place to send your furbabies! Dogs are continuously being sprayed with water bottles when behavior issues occur. No toys to play or activities, just a bunch of dirt and filthy, muddy water bowls to drink out of.

I bring both of my dogs to Love Dogs Camp for the past 6 months or so 3x a week and they absolutely LOVE it! They come home tired and happy everyday they go and sometimes don’t even want to leave can you believe it! I have 2 young very active dogs and the time they have spent at love dogs camp has helped tremendously with not just their physical enrichment but mental as well they are very well socialized and get along great with new dogs! I would recommend this facility as Carolyn cares so deeply for dogs and all of her staff share that same love for these wonderful doggies!!! Thank you love dogs camp!

We starting taking our two dogs twice a week to camp to help with some socialization issues and to prepare them for a boarding stay. Carolyn and the staff are amazing--so caring and attentive to each dog's needs. Our dogs love it there (even the sensitive guy who needed a couple of visits to get comfortable).

We've been taking our dog to Carolyn's place at least once a week for the past 5 years. Yes...it's not cheap...but his care has been so good and he enjoys his visits so much that we bring him there for overnight stays whenever we go away which can be a few days or 2 weeks at a time. He'd almost rather be with his friends at Love Dogs Camp than with us.

I brought my dog Tommy there for two months. Although it was way more expensive than other daycare I liked the three employees who worked there. After all three of them quit I figured the owner Carolyn was creating a toxic atmosphere and I decided I wasn’t going to overpay for daycare any longer.

We are so grateful we reached out to Love Dogs Camp to address our dogs' training issues and want to share how helpful Natalia, their Training Manager, was in coming to our house to assess and address the myriad of issues that arose when we adopted Willow, a 1-year old Shepherd mix. Our other dog, Pablo, a 3-year old husky/cattle dog mix, was very aggressive when we adopted him two years ago, but has improved enough that we can have guests, including dogs, in the house and can take him to dog beaches and parks. Our biggest worry was that he'd become aggressive again, but we soon learned that the bigger problem is that sweet Willow gets into and destroys everything (within days she destroyed power cords, t.v. remotes, the outdoor watering and lighting systems, a dog bowl stand, etc.). Natalia taught us crate training, so we can leave the house without risking further destruction. She also gave us a number of exercises and suggestions for redirecting Willow away from things she should not have or do. She showed us how to get both dogs to stay several feet back when the front door is open and wait until they have permission to walk out. Natalia showed us how to nip Pablo's aggressive tendencies in the bud, and he is improving quickly. We still have a ways to go, but Natalia gave us the tools so we can enjoy our wonderful dogs. We are thankful for Love Dogs Camp! They have taken great care of our pup, treating him as if he is one of their own. The trainer is top notch and my dog is always happy when the back car hatch opens and it's another day of fun ahead. Whether for day camp or overnight boarding, we highly recommend!

Haven't used them for boarding, but bought a private training session. Sally, the trainer, was great with our dogs. One of our dogs has social anxiety meeting new people. Sally had a very calm energy and worked really well work our pets for the session. Sally took the time to get to know our pets and their history. She seemed on making a personalized training plan, not just a one size fits all approach. She focused on positive reinforcement and gave us concrete, achievable goals to work towards while training our dogs. We decided to buy additional sessions. Highly recommend.

I adopted a shepherd four months ago and wanted to ensure he was in a positive, cage-free environment where he would get plenty of activity and attention during my workday. I also really wanted a place where his breed and personality would be understood and an individualized plan would be established to meet his needs. Thankfully, I met Carolyn and the team at LoveDogs camp. My dog gets excited as soon as we exit the freeway in the morning and jumps out of the car wagging his tail. When I pick him up in the evening, he is calm after a day of physical exercise, mental stimulation, affection, and healthy nutrition. Highly Recommend!
