This review is based on my experience consigning in one their “pop-up” events. It is not something I would recommend. Overall, it was disorganized and lacking in accountability. There was no system for tracking which items were sold (unless you did your own inventory, which I admittedly should have). If you choose to have any unsold items donated, there would really be no way for you to know if you were accurately compensated. Upon picking up the unsold items, I was informed that it would take a week to be paid for the items that were sold (this was later updated to “1 to 2 weeks”!). The biggest issue for me, however, was the fact that customers were able to put items on “hold” to come back later and pay for (OR NOT). So they were allowed to put items on hold, but if they decided not to come back and pay for them, they just became another unsold item. To me this is an extremely bad sales policy. I did not agree to this deferred compensation situation, and items that were on hold and not picked up were essentially prevented from being potentially purchased by someone else. Not to mention that it meant havjng to take another trip to pick up unsold items from the shop.

Not consistent and Will play favorites with people like giving items to somebody they like better or giving you a worse consignment price if they don’t like you. Love small town businesses, but you still need to be professional.

Cute clothes. Always something different when I come in. Happy with the trade-in values for store credit, because I'm eagerly happy to shop there! Even without store credit their clothes are clean, quality and cute! So much nicer to not have to pay full price for great clothes. I love following their social media and website to see what's new. Recently I was looking for a rain jacket and was just waiting and following their website until they posted that they got one in. Sold! They make buying and selling so easy and my kid loves his new clothes!

No way to rate this place. We drove in specifically to check the store out. Arrived during posted business hours to find the store dark. There was no "return soon" note. Nothing but a closed store.

Absolutely love this place! Just wish the hours where accurate. On Google it says their open but when you go, they're closed? I know they're closed Mondays. Just wish they'd put on their window new updated times/closed days I want to come support!

I'd give it no stars if I could. I use to love coming here with my mom years ago when hello village first opened. Than when I was expecting I was even of course excited to go baby shopping all the time. The owner Christa has been rude ever since I met her. I'm not sure why. When I told her about it she acted completely clueless and wanted to act like she didn't know what I was talking about. I have caught her talking about me multiple times when I come into the store and the one that took the win was yesterday when I was at a coffee shop and heard her talking to her friend about me. Confronted her and said enough was enough and I didn't do anything to deserve that type of behavior from het as a loyal paying customer. She went on to say that she wasn't talking about me yet her friend nearly broke her neck looking at me so fast the second Christa got to her window. She than messaged me after I made a public post about it and said " I think it's pretty shitty you're bashing me and my store when I didn't do anything to you personally" ...like WHAT?!? No what's shitty is the way she treats loyal paying customers. I've spent so much and my mom has spent thousands. I don't know if she knows this but talking bad about someone who did absolutely nothing but support your business since day ONE....is most definitely PERSONALLY attacking them. So she thinks she didn't do anything to me personally cause why? Because she didn't say it all to my face personally but BEHIND my back?? Lmao. THAN she wanted to keep putting it on ME saying I have an "on going issues" with her. Like what?!? I have no on going issues with anyone. If I had an issues with her I wouldn't be shopping at her store. But nice try trying to turn it around!!!

HV is amazing!!! I was so excited to have a children's consignment store near me again. They have gone above and beyond to deliver great consigned and new products. I would have spent so much more anywhere else. I love these ladies and look forward to many years shopping with them!!

I have been shopping here for years and LOVE this store. BUT have been trying to return some items forever and it's been a real struggle. Their consignment times are sparse and very hard when u live out of town. I went in last weekend and the new store isn't as full at all. But they did just open so hopefully next time I'll find (not return) some treasures.

A cute little store perfect for the village of arroyo grande. They have a great selection for the little ones. Both my kids love shopping here, and its fun for me and my wife too. It is great to have a family friendly store geared toward kids in the village.

Great children’s store! It’s exactly what the central coast needed. Tons of gift options as well as consigned clothes and toys. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The owner Krista is super involved in the community snd has facilitated Halloween in the Village and making sure Santa was still able to visit this past year. She’s always looking out for the kids! Nothing but good things to say about Hello Village!

Krista has been amazing with helping shop online and in the store. She has ALWAYS had a cheery attitude, along with hanging onto my order after I paid for it, for longer then I intended. This store is a wonderful children's store and now that Krista has added more amazing, fun inventory to the mix, its even more fun!! Its definitely my go to store for my grandchildren from newborn to teens!! Go in and check it out for yourself and say Hello to Krista and her crew!! I promise you won't be disappointed.

This is just what our area needed!! Not only do I consign my kids clothes, toys, etc.but I then use the credit to buy my kids new (used) clothes. Such a great selection and reasonably priced. They also have an amazing selection of new items too, I love to shop here for birthday and Christmas presents. If you have kids, or ever need a gift for a kid, come here! They will have everything you need.
