The facility and grounds were beautiful. Our room was handicapped accessible and very comfortable. I use a walker but I believe a wheelchair user would be able to maneuver as well. The owners had an emergency so we were unable to get breakfast and the restaurant they recommended was closed but they did discount our stay.
Rooms: The rooms are decorated beautifully. There is a refrigerator in the room. Our room had a walk in shower with great water pressure and hot water. We had a private balcony. There was a step stool provided to help climb into the bed.
Safety: The shower was equipped with grab bars. The thresholds in the room were flat and easy to walk over. The furniture in the great room was sturdy and comfortable with plenty of space to use equipment between.
Walkability: The sidewalks were clean and level and very easy to walk on.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Black Bear Inn in and it exceeded all my expectations. Wendi and Bruce are the epitome of hospitality, making sure every guest feels like family. The breakfast they serve is nothing short of exquisite, with each dish prepared with love and attention to detail. The inn itself is impeccably clean, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests to relax and unwind. I can't recommend the Black Bear Inn highly enough for anyone looking for a cozy and charming getaway in the beautiful Arnold area.

This is a really, really nice Inn. Stayed there once before with prior owners and it's as good or even better than ever. Beautiful common spaces, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts. And Wendy/Bruce made dinner reservations nearby so I could enjoy hiking all day. Very much

I would give 10 stars if that was possible. We just returned from a two-night stay at Black Bear Inn. It is a beautiful, peaceful Inn located among the trees in Arnold. The rooms are spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. Bruce goes above and beyond to accommodate each guest. He is a fabulous chef. The breakfasts that he prepared were above and beyond anything we have had at an Inn or restaurant. He also cooked a delicious dinner, and serves great appetizers as well. Cannot say enough about the Black Bear Inn, except that it is definitely worth a visit!

My time at the Black Bear Inn was beyond blissful. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by Wendy, who owns and operates the Inn with her husband. She kindly showed me to the room I reserved (Okanagan) and told me about all the wonderful amenities included with my stay. The room was immaculately clean and cozy. My girlfriend and I spent the majority of our time in the room relaxing in the Jacuzzi and resting on the extremely comfortable bed. The food prepared by the chef (Wendy's husband) was exquisite. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking. This was the best getaway ever and I plan on returning just as soon as possible.

We had a wonderful getaway here at the Black Bear Inn. Bruce and Wendi's hospitality made our experience so amazing. They've clearly put a lot of hard work in to make sure that every guest feels comfortable like they're at home. We will definitely be back.

I wish I could give them an 11.Bruce and Wendy were excellent hosts.My wife and I were up here for my good friends birthday.The inn is very beautiful and the room was very cozy.Great location to local shops and restaurants.We plan on returning soon.

We recently had our wedding at Black Bear Inn, in July. We were able to enjoy the bed and breakfast for the whole weekend to celebrate us. The grounds were beautiful as they were lined with wild sweet peas, roses, and trees. Wendi and Bruce helped make our day/weekend magical. We can't wait to return for our anniversary.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away, and we had an amazing time. The Bordeaux room was posh, comfortable and romantic. I couldn't get my wife to turn off the toasty gas fireplace, which warmed us up quickly after a cold day of skiing. For the money you get premium service, including a wine and cheese platter and breakfast for every day of your stay, year-round hot tub access and a jacuzzi tub (in the Bordeaux Room, at least). The grounds are beautiful, even better with a fresh dusting of snow, and the inn is located within walking distance of excellent restaurants and a cafe with great coffee. The bed was very comfortable; getting up and out of the warm blankets was the hardest part of my day.Our car battery died while we were staying here, and one of the owners actually offered for us to borrow his car to drive to an autoparts place to get a new one. My wife and I had already taken care of it by then, but the offer is yet another example of the excellent visitor care you will receive at this place. I would love to stay here again sometime.

I recently stayed at the Black Bear Inn. What a delightful stay it was!!. Wendy and Bruce go above and beyond, treating their guests to delightful breakfasts, and "happy hour" treats!. I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful place!. You will NOT be disappointed.

I would relate this B&B as a piece of Paradise. We were looking for a place that was not a long drive (came from Auburn Ca) and provided a calming/tranquil environment. We got that and much more. The owners are a delight, they are wonderful hosts, very welcoming. The breakfasts and the Wine & Cheese are all excellent. The grounds are beautiful, a delight to wander; the Inn is a beauty with the high ceilings and the special architectural touches. We were very impressed with how immaculate our large room and bathroom was. The only regret is we're sore we didn't find the Inn earlier!!! We will be returning!

Everything was perfect. Quiet, well appointed, with every detail attended to. Beautiful setting. The breakfasts were exquisite, the wine and appetizers in the afternoon were elegant and tasty. Wendi and Bruce were charming hosts. Stayed at the Monterey Room. Great experience.
