This sizable yet quaint-feeling thrift shop recently helmed support from crew members working on Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film in nearby Eureka. The film's cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall and Sean Penn. Amanda Bartlett from SF Gate reported on filmmakers' support of other local establishments such as Cafe Brio, as well as local artist artist Zak Shea:

I've been coming here for YEARS and love it. I love the mission behind the organization and as someone who works in healthcare dealing with hospice patients it's close to my heart. Hard not to support such a stand up business that supports its community. It's great for clothing, then antique furniture. Sometimes they have other bits and baubles but the clothes and furniture are most consistent good finds.

I recently visited the Hospice shop in Arcata . The store has lots of pretty cool inventory, and you can still move around .I wasn't able to find anything I just had to have , so I will go back .My interaction with the employees was pretty fun , another reason to return. Thanks for a good visit

Some of the things I've purchased here have truly enriched my life.Beautiful items come through this store daily. The best part of this store are the Employees. They are dedicated, patient, consistent and they truly care about the Community.Wendy Homem is the Store Manager. She does a wonderful job running the store. She's perfect for the Manager position. She is really on top of things. She has a great attitude. She's fantastic with people. She gets the job done. This store was awardedBusiness off the Year 2023They truly deserve it.I am an Arcata Resident.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Their prices tend to be pretty standard and make shopping easy. All items tend to be very lightly used and well cared for. I like going here just to check for certain things, and tend to spend a lot of time browsing and they are never rude about my meanderings. Still have a lot of nice items from here!

My favorite thrift store in our area. The people are wonderful, and the inventory is really high quality for a thrift store without being way overpriced. When I want t find omething for a special event, this is the first place I check.

Beautiful collection of artistic boutique finds, plus vintage tools & trinkets! Very clean and organized with apparel sorted by color.Secondhand clothes-hangars are extra affordable here (which is what drew me inside). I quickly realized this was a situation where would be leaving with more than what I came for!

This is my favorite thrift store in Humboldt and I go around Humboldt thrifting multiple times a week. They always have a great selection and they are one of the few thrift stores in Arcata that aren’t overpriced. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
