I have used this storage facility for two years now and like most storage facilities it has been nothing but a money pit. My rent has been raised three times in that two years. it's the smallest unit available in Mckinleyvile and I now pay $130 a month for it. This doesn't seem like much if you look at it month too month but when you do the math it comes out to $1560 a year for a rat infested 1/4 garage space. Recently my lock was removed and they put one of their locks on my unit. In order for me to get that lock removed so that I can cancel my service agreement I must put a new lock on the unit that I must purchase even though it's empty. Another $20 that I shouldn't need to spend. I rarely complain about anything online but after paying them top dollar for 2 years it seams super petty for them to require this in order for me to cancel my rent. It seems to me like they are just stalling as so to get another months rent out of me. In my time at this place I have noticed a unit broken into in which I took my time to contact the owners as they didn't know there fence had been breached. I would hope someone would do the same for me but was never thanked for my policing of their facility. Now I must go purchase a lock so that they will cancel my lease. It seams "shady" and to tell you the truth they were rude. The take home message is that in Humbodlt county there is a shortage of storage units and so they capitalized on this by increasing the rent and not doing much to protect your goods. Buyer beware.

Terrible owner, I'll never go back or recommend this place to anyone. I've had a storage unit for two years. No curtsey calls, and employees aren't held accountable for saying wrong or inaccurate information. Anywhere else is better than this headache of a company.

Nicole is the epitome of great customer service. I manage several business and I wish my employees were on her level of excellence. She was honest, helpful and patient. I called every storage place (over 10 locations) in the area and she is the reason I chose Rainbow storage. If you need a storage unit, please call Nicole. You will not regret it.

All properties are clean and secure. A little difficult is securing a storage unit because of limited vacancies so when their is a storage unit available, you have to jump on it! Staff does a really good job at helping you with a waiting list but it's on you to stay undated on the website.

Definitely negative stars if I could. Just had an extremely rude, unprofessional encounter with the person working in the office at the Arcata site. Blonde, big false eyelashes. She claimed she was closed, despite it being 10 minutes before they were scheduled to close, and told me to come back at another time- however she was so terse and rude I felt physically uncomfortable going back there.

Please take your business elsewhere and do not support this company. Place is filthy and employees are rude. They have a policy about "hanging out" at your facility if you are there frequently or for an extended time. I dont know of too many people that really want to "hang out" at their facility. But they will lock you out without any warning at their discretion.

One of the worst storage facilities I've ever seen. Dirty, no trash containers, if you are there over 2 hours, they lock you out. If you are there past 9 pm they call the Police and have you arrested. No lights inside unit, spider webs everywhere. In general, filthy and in a seedy location.

For my needs this storage facility and location is perfect for me. It's secure and safe, entrance and exit gates always operate smoothly and the location right in the middle of the Los Angeles area and all 3 major airports, LAX, Ont & John Wayne allows me to use it for work efficiently. You also can't beat the price.

I'm upgrading my review. I hopefully got my problem solved at 1 pm today. I still think they need some remedial customer service training to learn to see problems from the customers point of view, and not immediately disbelieve the customer, and immediately get into an adversarial relationship with customer who have a problem.
