I think it was ridiculous that as I waited outside for this place to open, the shop employee closed shop and left for hours. I had to drive to DTLA store.

This is a specialty store for Boy Scouts clothing and equipment, both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, with a wide range of products. The service attitude of the waiter is also very good, I like her/the store is tidy, the items are well placed, and it is easy to find what I want.

They were very helpful. Though I really missed the Smiser Center in Sierra Madre, they (BSA - John) have made great efforts in have a good variety of inventory. I needed to purchase something for my nephew (who receives his Eagle ranking!) and they had everything!! I ended up purchasing an Eagle pen and picture frame. Wishing you and the organization the very BEST!

So glad they reopened the Scout shop in Arcadia after closing the Smiser location in Pasadena. It's located in one of the back shops in the same plaza as Tokyo Wako. It seems smaller than the old location, and seems to have less merchandise like backpack varieties and other camping gear (I guess with REI just down the street, it's not necessary), but still carries all the basic uniform clothing, books, and patches that the kids need. I wanted to redeem the birthday discount my son received, but was told that the SGV shop is not run by national anymore, so the coupons don't apply at this location.

It is wonderful to have the store open! The customer service is incredible and it is very well organized and easy to find exactly what you're looking for. If you are shopping for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, either boy or a girl, this is the perfect place! (Do note that the Scout shop in Pasadena is permanently closed.)
