I really wanted to take my dog here bc it’s like a block away and would be convenient but the front door is always wide open and that really sketches me out. Bc 1: My dog is my child. would you leave the door wide open on a daycare? Just doesn’t seem secure at. All.2: makes me question if they have AC in there or not. Like if you had AC you wouldn’t let it all be whooshing out the front door so they must not have it, and I would never leave my dog at a daycare in the California heat w no AC and a fur coat on. That’s how dogs die.Just unfortunate bc it’s so convenient but the front door hanging wide open all the time is a red flag for me.

She is by far one of the most dedicated animal caretaker. She needs to be fully funded!!! She is educated, trained, and super caring. I would go to her any day of the week!

I don't know how they are with the dogs but whoever answered the phone has the worse phone etiquette I've ever experienced! I called to ask a few questions about boarding my puppy. I kindly said "hi, I'd like to inquire about boarding my dog for Thanksgiving " and she answered by saying "yeah, but I'm not like other places" and I said "o.k." She then repeated herself like 3 more times saying "I'm not like other places". So I asked literally out of pure curiosity at that point "what do you mean? What's different about you?" She then very aggressively asked "Well does your dog get along with everyone?" .....the conversation continued for a bit and then I just said thank you and hung up. And yes! My dog gets along with other dogs, has all her shots and is fixed! I wouldn't even consider boarding her if she didn't fill all these requirements! If this woman is this rude with a complete stranger /possible new customer, I can only imagine how she treats the dogs. Doesn't sound like she is happy doing what she is doing.....

Amazing location. I brought my beloved Chihuahua and it was well taken care of while we were traveling to LA. The staff was amazing! She was always attentitive, helpfull and caring. I highly recommend Pooches Playground. If I could give more than Five Stars I would.

Violet is wonderful! This was the first time we boarded our dog so we had some hesitations because he’s very nervous in new environments and situations. All of our worries went away though because Violet knew exactly what she was doing. She knew exactly how to handle our dog’s anxiety and reassured even us with her calm demeanor. She sent us updates over the four days that our dog stayed with her, which were very much appreciated. We’ll definitely be coming back to Violet the next time we need boarding services!

I have a menace English bulldog puppy named Zoe. Violet is just wonderful with the care taking. My puppy loves coming over. The prices are very reasonable. The hours are just great for hard working g full time /over time Type of workers with pets .

I usually take my dogs to VCA for boarding but wanted to try out new places and hence I called Pooches Playground. Violet was very nice over the phone and I felt comfortable setting up an appointment to drop of my pups. On the day of the appointment, as I was parking at the back lot I could hear dogs barking loudly and a lady yelling simultaneously. Already not a good sign. It got worse when I went inside. I could barely hear the old lady upfront since the dogs were anxiously barking and the yelling lady on the top of her lungs kept telling these poor dogs to SHUT UP! My pups and I wanted out asap. And so we left. Never coming back to this place. VCA Santa Anita, you rock!

Excellent work and very reasonably prices . My dog was so happy and came out looking fabulous . I will Totally recommend this place for the fact that I went to Other places that didn't take their time or it didn't look like he even got a haircut . Great customer service my sister brings her dog here too and she is ver satisfied as well .
