this place is great as a former student I came and even though I thought it was a waste of time I can thank this school for the ability's to communicate better with my grandparents. The reason I am giving a 4 star is although a phenomenal after school program the teachers were very strict but they all were kind hearted. If you are looking to send your kid hear it will be worth it. I am planning to go back and volunteer in my high school years.

My grandson who grew up from non-Chinese speaking family speaks Chinese fluently even writes a very good Chinese characters and sentences after four years of studying at First Ave Chinese school.

This place was the worst era of my life. I am now a 22 year old living in an apartment and I have to say i'm very disappointed in this afterschool program. I used to go here and the teachers were very strict. I remember when someone was put into a trash can. I can't believe it even to now. Please consider this as a warning. Or don't.

Just what you expect from a Chinese School. An authentic reproduction of Chinese education system. Kids do learn Chinese well here.
