I used this accounting firm for 1 year and was pretty underwhelmed with the service. After Dave left, I decided to change firms. I needed to get my tax return that they filed for us and my ability to see my return through their portal was revoked and they charged me 25.75$ to have it sent to me. I felt that was pretty unfair, almost petty. There were a couple other instances that annoyed me that felt understandable at the time but now that I've been with the new accounting firm I'm so much happier.

HARD NO. TurboTax is more competent than these folks. Gone downhill since Dave left. Don’t give them your money. We got so screwed in 2022

This firm handled our taxes for years, and we always looked forward to working with Dave Christiansen. Since selling the business to an "Umbrella company", as they called it in a letter they sent to us last year, this firm has turned shady in a surprising way. Dave no longer returns calls or emails, and we were shunted off on an EA (not a CPA) named Jack who was pretty careless and clueless. Nevertheless, we were charged Dave's rate ($480), which is hardly worth it when working with someone like the guy they paired us with. In addition, someone else's name (Jung) appeared on our tax returns as the preparer. We have never met Mr. Jung, and so we considered this business practice shady. Our actual tax preparer Jack couldn't even figure out how to adjust a W-4 to reduce our tax bill, and we were charged CPA rates so a CPA we have never met could put his name on a tax filing he never prepared. We will never work with Christiansen Russell Christiansen again because this mysterious "Umbrella" company has corrupted what used to be an honest business.

IS is weird to say I LOVE my accountant? If it is, then be it because I truly love David, John, Ruby, Sylvia and staff. They take care of both my business and personal accounts. EVERY time I call or email with a question - I always get a timely response - even during crunch time! And - they seem to know me and the details of my accounts very well. One time - I caught David ( the main guy) on the phone and he remembered specifics on my account. Ok, how did he do that? I know they have tons of clients. No matter, the result is that they are good at making you feel like a VIP - no matter the size of your account. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

They always find ways to get me the most back on my refund, or if it's a year I owe, they manage to find ways minimize that too. I especially love working with David Christiansen.

Granted that Dave was able to get me 5k back on my tax refunds for the 2018 year, I'm not happy with the way that he treated me and then promptly dropped me as his client because he needed to "focus on his corporate clients more". He's also SUPER unprofessional with the timeliness of his emails--he would go weeks on end without responding to emails (I guess because I wasn't corporate or important enough). Thanks but no thanks, Dave. I'll find my business elsewhere, and I'm definitely gonna stop referring my friends to you. Two stars only because he did get me a hefty tax refund back.

Always asking questions and recommending ways to limit tax liability, especially when looking at both your business and personal returns. Incredible memory about your situation- and suggests strategies for short and long term planning. Dave is passionate about music, and his creativity always make him a joy to speak with- very unusual to say about your accountant!

Christiansen Russell & Christiansen have been handling my taxes for over ten years, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They truly understand how to handle the tax requirements of being a small business. Dave is so knowledgeable. He is able to easily handle my every question, and he's a joy to interact with. I'm the only person I know who actually looks forward to going to see my accountant.

THE WORST EVER!
They charge top dollar, but DO NOT GET IT DONE ON TIME! FOR THIS MUCH MONEY, GO ELSEWHERE! I will next year. I went here on suggestion of my dad, a client here for years. I called over a month before taxes were due, plenty of time to find a reliable tax service. I was assured, " No problem." Absolute LIARS. Dropped off paperwork back in March, here we are at tax day and they are still screwing around and screwing me around. Now they're filing extensions due to their mistakes. Find actual professionals who actually deliver on their promises. I've paid taxes for 39 years, never has this happened, only these guys.
