Called ahead to ask for the price of a day pass. When I showed up, they told me a different price that was 2x more expensive. Ridiculous behavior

Dirty and there were barely any lockers ….. people leaving the locks on all the lockers. Parking lot has suspicious activity and don’t walk the pissy stairs …..people walk in front of your car when you park in the parking structure…… I’m working out at another gym that is cleaner …….

I was at this gym tonight between 12:45am-1:15am. When I arrived there was no one at the desk and when I left there was still no one at the desk. I went to use the bathroom and I came out of the stall a black male, about 5'8, in street clothes, blue jeans and open flannel, was in the women's restroom. He seemed to be mentally ill, fidgety, incoherent speech, unfocused gaze. I asked him why he was in the women's restroom and he said "oh I didn't know" and continued to stand there unfazed. I began to feel very uncomfortable so I grabbed my things and left. I wanted to report this incident but no one was at the desk still. Another patron told me, he's been here for 2 hours and hasn't seen anyone at the desk. WHAT?! He then warned me "watchout for the crackhead" I said yea I wanted to complain to someone because he's in the women's restroom!!! Welp that ruined my night. I don't think I'll ever return to this 24hr gym. There's no one watching the front desk and strange people are able to come in and out as they please. How scary!! Imagine if I was in the shower or getting undressed when this guy walked in. What could have happened??

A new staff member called Matt had a nasty attitude, which made me feel uncomfortable. I have been working out here for a long time. I don’t want to do this, but I can not accept being treated like this

Looks like most of the recent reviews summarize my experience since I joined last November. Everything that everyone has said is true: it’s filthy, staff is unhelpful and incompetent, and the equipment is in a constant flux of disrepair.
However, to specify: The pool area is a disaster - the hot tub was broken for well over a month, there was a broken vent that made it hard to breathe while swimming laps, and there’s a flurry of unsavory activity from large groups of teens crowding the lanes while not swimming to uninvited people breaking in and acting in unsafe ways. The weight room is dysfunctional - 1/3 of the equipment is broken, people who may or may not be members are sleeping in all areas of the space, and the equipment that is working is either in poor condition and or filthy. The staff doesn’t address complaints or problems, e.g. - 1) While the vent in the pool area was broken, I was told that there would be a sign put up to keep the door propped open to help circulate air. After 4 phone calls with management, this simple act still never happened. 2) Closures aren’t well communicated - (a) The jacuzzi was stated to be closed down for only 2 weeks, and it ended up being closed down for nearly 2 months with no explanation. (b) Yesterday, the gym closed at 11pm with no explanation. Tried to call all day today and no one answered the phone (which is a regular occurrence). (c) I’ve noticed several times when uninvited people have come in and created a disturbance, it took staff way too long to address the concerns of members.
I understand, especially late at night, that being by the Metro makes this a difficult location on every front, including the ones I addressed. It’s also not beyond my ability to comprehend that this is 24-Hour Fitness, not Equinox. However, many of these problems can be mitigated with procedural and operational change. Last night, I went to the Glendora location and it was as if it was operated by a different company. Clearly, Arcadia is just a very poorly run location. Considering that complaints on here don’t seem to be taken seriously, I’m filing a formal complaint with corporate and going to the Glendora location for the foreseeable future, even though it’s double the distance.

This place is a joke. This location has theft and is dirty all around. There bathroom/showers are the nastiest. Charging 50-60 dollars in annual fees for what??! As well as 35-40 dollars a month??! Where does it all go?!? It’s certainly not going to the equipment or maintenance. I been to 24’s in fontana/redlands areas (for before events) that are a major difference. Better machines and cleanliness . Also feels much safer in there parking lot. Ya’ll should put more money in your city gyms. Why im i paying this much for a gym that doesn’t make me happy, that is musty and machines that are on there last bolt. That’s why i cancelled my membership. Don’t be sorry , do better!!?️?

1/3 of the members are homeless, gangs, thefts. They stole my gold ring, cash and got three time into my locker. The manager is worthless and never helped and bother to reach out to me after reporting to him by his staff. Or said the report of incident was lost. Dirty and always machines are broken. No matter what kind of paltock you use, they always have their way to steal your car keys even and go to your car and take everything they can. Inside parking instructors always you'll find broken or shadowed car windows. Stay a way from this place. Specially with this horrible manager and assistant.

Been going for over a year. Good monthly price. They have powerlifting space/racks, free weights, machines, cardio machines, basketball court, sauna, jacuzzi, and pool. However, most things are run down. Treadmills and stair masters are out of service, or operating at a broken level. Someone is always “fixing” a weight lifting machine upstairs. Free weights are scattered throughout first and second floor. Bathrooms are gross. They have employees “clean” the lockers/bathroom, but it’s not enough. Homeless people are in and out, taking over bathroom stalls. Overall, dirty. Get in, lift your weights, get out.

I enjoy my gym time, and it's is a time to get fit and de-stress. I stop coming to this gym for one reason. It is filthy. In a time where everyone wants to stay healthy, the gym should be the last place you don't feel safe. I came for a full year and I believe 1, they need personnel not doing the minimum and hanging out all day. Love the gym, it has all the potential.
Lastly it has a lot of homeless and the locker area sure feels like it.
I now go to the Pasadena one on lake, it's is night and day.

How is this gym managed? I just came out of the shower and saw the administrator holding a pair of scissors to open my locked locker? ! ! Although it was finally said that someone remembered the wrong locker, I still think it is illegal to open other people's lockers at will. I was still very upset. Fortunately, I came out early and saw it, and I didn't lose anything.

I've been patronizing this 24 Hour Fitness gym for about 5 years, but have gone to several others since 2005. This one is dirty, plain and simple, beginning with the outside entry area. Equipment needs upgrading, beginning with the recumbent cycles, which is the only aerobic machine I can use. I'd like to see this gym live up to a desired reputation and rating. It's in a great location.

Customer service is terrible. The manager is the most annoying. He never keeps his words, every time I go, theres problems. I was charged over $100 for a random cost that he informed me wouldn't be charged. Me and my blood related brother share a same membership and it has a buddy pass, staff said it was fine but the manager that always wears a cap looking like ? always have probelms with me. My brother has a buddy pass, you can invite two people and my brother went in with his friend first and i came in a little late and he said “Oh! you guys need to come in together to use the buddy pass”. I have no idea what hes on but last time all my brother had to do was come downstairs to bring me in. He just wants money so bad that he says something different every time. Last time I was there my membership didnt even end but he said I can’t bring my friend so my friend had to get another membership. She’s 17 and the manager said “I could get you set up right away! no parents needed” I told her its okay lets just leave. This time i tried signing up he said “You need a parent to sign up” I dont know what the managers problem is but he switches up his words every single time. He wouldnt let me in when I had a membership , not only that he doesn’t follow their policy at all. The manager in this locations gym is absolutely horrible, He forced me to make a commitment that I can’t cancel my membership forever. What does he mean by that? After 10,20,30 years I can’t cancel my membership’? It’s my money, my choices, what gives him the right to do that? In the reivews they reply to they say “It’s are job to make a a safe and comfortable place to are members”. It’s all fake, some of the staffs, and especially the manager they all put on an act. Meet them in person their extremely rude. For those people that trying to sign up here, NOT RECOMMENDED! You’ll not only get scammed but recieve an additude. They never keep their words!!!

I would like to thank the staff David for his kindness, professionalism and support. I recently had a knee replacement and my doctor wanted me to start riding the stationary bike. In addition I would like to thank Rodney the General Manager for checking on me and making sure I was comfortable using the equipment. This is the best customer service I ever received at any of the 24 Hour fitness locations. Thank you, once again.

I've been going here for years. The basketball court is big but not well maintained and cleaned. The nets are often torn. There are some hollow spots on the floor. And it's terribly dusty and rarely waxed. I suspect there is also growing somewhere as i get bad asthma attacks every single time i play here. To the management team, please keep the courts clean.
