I highly recommend ShipSmart. They were professional, arrived on time to pack and pick up heirloom furniture and delivered it in perfect condition. Communication was great via email with their customer service.

I highly recommend using ShipSmart for your future moving needs. Having moved crossed country for the first time, ShipSmart was accommodating and responsive to our (many) questions and estimate updates as our move date neared. ShipSmart was unique compared to other moving companies, as they did not lock us into a minimum or maximum moving estimate, but remained flexible, waiting until after our shipment was picked up and on its way before giving us the grand total. They were able to provide immediate location updates once our shipment was on its way, and worked with reputable and professional local moving companies on both ends of our move (**********, ** to *******). All of our shipment arrived without damage, and they wrapped and unwrapped all of our furniture for extra protection. Great group to work with, during what can be a very stressful time!

Tried to get them to ship two chairs from Roseville Ca to Iowa and have paid and everything. This company is trash. Do not select this company as they don’t like business for some reason. They don’t return phone calls to schedule the pickup. Straight garbage

I had to move from Boston to Rochester, MN and didn't have a lot of stuff to move and wouldn't have bothered with the profane price estimates I was getting from MayFlower etc. ShipSmart gave me what I needed: an affordable alternative for someone who can wait a bit for a limited number of items to be transported. They were shockingly fast about it, but the shipment speed can vary a lot.The crew that came by to pack up my stuff and load it were hard-working, professional, and fast. I boxed up or otherwise wrapped most of my stuff but I worried that I hadn't been complete enough, but that didn't seem to concern them. They just got the job done. They were also highly punctual.The wrapping and packing was no joke either. If anything they over did it. The truck driver didn't understand what the wooden pole with a rubberized end was doing in one of my two wrapped pellet-piles but I quickly found out you need it to disassemble their wrap and pack job. Be forewarned it costs extra to have them bring your things in to your new place. I did it myself and saved a bunch of money.Can't recommend them enough, but you will have to wait a bit for your things to arrive. Probably longer than I did.

Unprofessional Customer Service Experience During Final Payment and Move SchedulingMy recent experience with Ship Smart customer service during the final payment and move scheduling process left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. As a customer who had hoped for a smooth and stress-free move, the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the customer service representative was both surprising and disheartening.Upon reaching the final payment stage, I had a clear and reasonable request: to have my shipment delivered before I left for a scheduled vacation. Given ample notice, I believed that this would be a straightforward arrangement, especially considering the commitments I had made with the company. However, the customer service representative's response was far from the professionalism I had expected.Rather than acknowledging my valid concerns and working to find a solution, the representative's attitude was dismissive and indifferent. My repeated attempts to explain the importance of my requested delivery date fell on deaf ears, as the representative seemed more interested in rushing through the conversation rather than addressing my concerns. This lack of empathy and disregard for a paying customer's needs was deeply disheartening.Feeling unheard and frustrated, I decided to escalate the matter by speaking to upper management. While I had hoped that the management team would take my concerns seriously and address the unprofessional behavior of their employee, even this step did not yield the desired results. The response from upper management was lukewarm at best, and it was clear that the issue was not being treated with the urgency it deserved.As a customer, I believe that it's essential to be treated with respect and professionalism throughout the entirety of a business interaction, especially when dealing with a service as significant as moving one's belongings. Unfortunately, my experience with Ship Smart fell far short of these expectations. The lack of accountability and responsiveness displayed by both the customer service representative and upper management left me feeling frustrated and undervalued.In conclusion, my customer service experience with Ship Smart during the final payment and move scheduling was far from satisfactory. The unprofessional attitude of the customer service representative and the lackluster response from upper management showcased a disregard for customer concerns and a failure to uphold the standards of professionalism. The WORST company. ShipSmart was highly recommended as a preferred vendor from another really bad moving coordinating and home organizing company call Changing-Places in San Rafael. SS canceled the first confirmed move date at the last minute with no explanation. Scheduled a second move but failed to ship my stuff as agreed. Almost 2 months later my stuff arrived. Three totally inexperienced teenagers moved my valuables into my new house. Friendly guys but definitely not professional movers. They promised to box my expensive carpets but they arrived folded in half. They unpacked nothing and worst of all the staff handling my move was rude, hostile and harassed me the whole time while I was traveling on business. ZERO value very very high price tag... total scam. If you ever come across Ship Smart or Changing-Places Home Organizers run the other way! Happy to give more details just message me. Avoid this company at all costs. They broke the contract and acted in bad faith. They seemed to attempt to bully me into absorbing the blame for setting me up to ship 2/3 more than what I agreed to despite my doing everything I could to prevent it, and their actively making choices to make it so that all of the extra stuff was shipped. When I called them out on every maneuver they tried, and it was clear that they didn't have any actual defense, then they said they would pay me if I didn't write any bad reviews or report them to regulatory agencies! So, (from my perspective), they pretty much admitted to fraud, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and breach of contract, but then when I wouldn't shut up about it, they suddenly wouldn't pay me. Dishonest, slimy, and sociopathic is how I would describe these people. "Jim Locke" was the guy I dealt with, and he was insulting and terrible.In response to Ship Smart's response, they are continuing the pattern of half-truths and outright lies. They wrote to me that they were refusing to give me any kind of discount after I refused to get one in exchange for not making negative reviews and reporting them to consumer and regulatory agencies, so if they have changed their mind, they need to actually contact me and indicate that. Also, I have asked and asked for any evidence that an authorized person signed off on adding all of those things that I specifically, from the first communication, told them I didn't want. They admitted that the person promised at multiple to send me photos of the items before weighing, but then didn't. These people really seem to have purposely completely gouged me, wouldn't refund me unless I covered it up, and now are lying about it while pretending they have agreed to give me a refund.Also, it is hostile, unprofessional, dishonest, unethical, etc. to gouge customers, lie to them, and press them to keep quiet. You can smile and speak calmly while knifing someone, but that doesn't mean you aren't actually doing it. My responses are completely justified, and their deceit, etc. is completely unprofessional.

I paid $100/hour for packing and all they did with clothing is stuff it in boxes so now my leather coats, purses and hats are severely wrinkled and misshape. Im extremely disappointed. I could have done better.

TLDR: shipsmart was recommended by a high-volume Bay Area realty group, and my experience with Shipsmart was SO WRETCHED that the realty group vowed to never recommend Shipsmart again. It was THAT BAD. Shipsmart scammed me on the price and carelessly ruined my most prized possession. I provided *excruciating* detail on the items I needed moved and they gave me an estimate of $4,000. They came, packed everything, moved everything into a truck, and then (only then) did they explain that the move was "a little than they expected" and charged me $8,500. What was I to do at that point? Ask them to unwrap everything and put it back where they found it? And find another company that can magically come later that same day? Please... they knew exactly what they were doing and did it with such nonchalance that it's obviously part of the handbook. The most painful part of it all: I explained that a wooden table hand-carved by my grandfather was my most prized item in the world. With their "white glove service", the careless way that they took it apart and put it back together broke important joints and stripped EVERY single screw. I now need to hire a professional to salvage it. Run away from this company!

I heard about ShipSmart from another shipper in LA, and they did a great job with my small but valuable shipment. They picked up delicate objects at a private home in LA, packed them expertly, and safely got them to me in Montana in about a week - well ahead of the 4-week estimate. My favorite thing about ShipSmart: I can pick up the phone and talk directly to the folks who run the show. Great service, no complaints!

They did a wonderful job from start to finish! I was mailing an antique cash register (that I got from my grandmother) to a grand nephew. It was being sent from ********** to ************. The 2 men who picked up the register were so very nice. I watched them wrap the item and move it to their truck. and they were so very careful with it. I would definitely use this shipping company again!
