This hotel was built by my family (A. Castro) and I have always wanted to see it. I have called a few times but no one answers. I have only been able to visit the outside of the building because the hotel has been closed every time I try to see it. I truly hope it does get restored, but sounds like that’s going to require a lot of time and money. Grants, perhaps? ?I would love to chat with the current owners sometime!

It looks like it's back open. It had the worst reviews in the world. But I hear it's got one of the oldest rose bushes in the back. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to see it.

We're helping to get it up & running again. Beautiful gardens! Built in 1877 & is rumored to be haunted. Can't wait till pizza oven is up & running.

Sadly the Bayview is closed. I hope it is not gone forever as it is one of the last historic buildings left in Aptos. But it looks like it was sold and may have fallen victim to the monster that's swallowing Aptos and trying to make it Aptosia. Makes me ashamed to have lived there for almost 20 years
