Boo to this place! We went in Saturday morning with an emergency. Our dog was evaluated promptly, then we were told to stand-by. We stood-by. And then continued to stand-by. We had been standing-by with our bleeding dog in the car with the A/C on for an hour twenty minuets. The place was busy so we understood the wait, at the time. While we waited our dog was starting to look more and more like the Japanese flag. the receptionist finally came out to tell me that our dog will need a procedure but they can't do it today. I completely understand that they are busy, but THEY COULD HAVE TOLD US THAT AN HOUR AGO!!! Rubbish!

I have been living in the high desert for 21 years and I have always had several pets. However, I have never been able to find a good vet up here. I recently decided to try Bear Valley Hospital because my cat, Colby, developed a cough and did not want to return other bad vet clinics that I used in the past. I was pleasantly surprised at how caring and welcoming the staff is and Dr. Anderson was excellent!!! She definitely cares about her animal patients. She provided me with detailed information on my cat's condition and provided me with many options for care at a reasonable cost. I am very excited that I finally have a safe, caring, competent place to take my fur babies when they need help. Thank you Bear Valley Hospital and Dr. Anderson! :)

Terrible experience. No assistance and longest wait I've ever experienced. Made an appointment at 11:30. Showed up at 11am, did paper work. As of 12pm I have not been seen by the doctor. Front desk said in a baby voice 'oh so sorry for the wait' as they pull walk ins to the back to be helped and I still wait during my appointment time. While I wait I over here simple vaccinations are about 80 dollars for a small dog. What is my bill going to be for an examination? Will not be spending my time or money here at all

Waited 4.5 hours with an appointment to have my dog's anal glands expressed. No regard or consideration to appointments or wait time. Vet actually left the office at one point. This place has gone down hill quickly!

My experience at this vet clinic was incredibly disappointing. Not only did I encounter a long wait time, but the staff seemed disorganized and clueless about proper procedures. It was evident they lacked knowledge and provided meaningless recommendations solely to make money. Save yourself the hassle and find a more competent vet clinic elsewhere.

Had an appointment for 12 pm just to have my dogs anal glands expressed. Didn't get checked in until 1:10 pm. Very unorganized and very long wait times for everyone.

I'm in total shock right now and do not know what to do. My dog started bleeding from his butt and screaming in pain. I rushed him to this hospital and agreed to pay an emergency/ walk in fee for him to be seen. The doctor evaluates him and informs me that the dog needs an x-ray. I say okay fine, and the lady brings me an invoice to sign That listed the emergency / walk in fee plus the cost of the x-ray. Came to somewhere around the neighborhood of $350. I wait outside for The results to come back. The doctor tells me that they look relatively clear, but he wanted to keep him overnight and give him an IV for hydration.(The dog had diarrhea). I said OK, and they brought in an invoice that now totaled to 600 and something. I told the lady OK is he gonna need medication because this is kind of at my limit let's say 650. She tells me that they will contact me in the morning and let me know if any more tests are needed and give me the final cost but that's the price right now I said OK fine. The next morning, I called to see how he was doing and was told that he was doing well, seemed to be improving slightly. However, the doctor wanted to watch him for the remaining of the day I said fine. I get to the hospital at around 6:00 PM the to pick the dog up and they hand me an invoice for $1100. I told her that I was under the impression that it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $600. They totaled both The initial bill I received for 300 something and the last bill I got for 600 something. I left that first night believing I owed them 600. I feel so stupid and taken advantage of. I absolutely believed that when she handed me the second bill for 600 That the original bill for 300 had grown to a little over 600. I expected to walk out, paying roughly 700 not 1100. I told her that I could not pay that amount all at once. I would've adjusted the care or looked for other options. I asked why she didn't call me and Tell me I was now at 1100. I was never presented with a combined total of that much until I went to pick him up. The receptionist would not release the dog and they are going to charge me an additional $60 per day that I can't get him. At an absolute loss right now. They have my little buddy and I have no idea how this will turn out.

i took my year-old tortoiseshell cat to get spayed. It was super easy and super quick. They called me within two hours when I thought it was gonna be an all day thing her healing process has been great and I have had no problems. Expect for the first time but maybe that was my mistake

Very expensive and they make you wait a very long time even when there is no one in the office. We were waiting an hour for someone to just give our puppy a vaccination with no one in the office. We have a puppy in which it was very difficult keeping her from going crazy waiting. My wife went in and asked what the deal was and got angry. They sent a Tech out 5 minutes later and it took literally 30 seconds to get her back. They also charged us 40 bucks which we thought we purchased the puppy package and paid up front. They said we didn't purchase that on our last visit a few weeks ago. We got her shot and the very next day, we get a call saying our puppy is now in need of her rabies vaccination? Why didn't they do this the day before? I have my suspicions. We have been coming here for over 20 years but during the past several years, things have definitely changed. Pricing is through the roof. Cant even get an xray for under 400 bucks! and wait times are ridiculous. Seems like every time I walk in the door, I am pumping in buku bucks! My wife and I joke that over the course of our years going to this "Vet", we have paid for at least half the building and should have a plague on the wall saying Tinky Wing. It is amazing how much money I have had to spend at this place. We are currently searching for other options to get my Puppies final shot and have my other two dogs get checkups once I find one that is not totally obsessed with the all mighty buck!

The veterinarians are good. The front desk receptionists were rude and Myra has one of worst attitudes. I will not take my dog back there again.

On January 8, we had an appointment with Dr. Velasco. It was our first visit to Bear Valley Animal Hospital. Dr. Velasco was very attentive and listened to all our concerns with a great deal of patience. He was very honest with us and very compassionate. Today, Candace came to our home to put our dog to sleep. She comforted us with her kind words. Like Dr. Velasco, she was very compassionate. The whole staff are efficient, professional, and timely in all their responses. I am incredibly pleased with the quality of service Bear Valley Animal Hospital provided to us. Thank you so much. Sincerely, Leilani Reyes

Horrible. Long wait times, unorganized. Showed up at 7:30 am for drop-off, left at 9 am. Called at 2pm asking if my dog was ready for pick-up (it had been 5 hours since I dropped her off and got no update), was told yes, got there at 2:30, didn't get my dog until 3:40 as apparently not only was she not actually ready they hadn't written my invoice yet. Will never come back here again. Went there as a last resort as most place were booked for spaying-ended up spending more money than my actual vet charges. I didn't know I had to pay for IV fluids, antibiotics, and an exam that was never mentioned to me. Showed my invoice and various people agreed that I was overcharged-all they care about is money.

First off, this place is greedy. They overbook. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I took my dog to get neutered by 7:30 am (the time specified by vet). They said they would call by 3:00 pm and pick up by 6:00 pm. I called to check on dog at 4:00 to prepare to pick up by 6:00 pm and was told dog hadn't gone to surgery. I call again at 5:00 pm and was on hold for over 20 minutes so I started driving to vet to make it by 6:00 pm and halfway there when I was told dog still hadn't had surgery. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and was told dog had to stay overnight (no charge). Nothing in life is free. I was inconvenienced and my dog was caged for 24 hours without food. When I went to pick up dog, no antibiotics like I had ordered. Receipt provided was inadequate due to the fact their printer was out of ink. I had friends who walked in yesterday without appointment and it took 3 hours (non emergency). Rather than pack the place for money, provide the attention and care to those who have appointments. Clearly, this place along with others only cares about money. Based on my experience, I will not return. I will continue to find a more suitable veterinarian local to my house.

Left an email via their website requesting for medical records so we can upload as part of enrolling our dogs for pet insurance. It's been 3 weeks and I did not any email back nor did I get a phone call from them. horrible customer service. if I can give this place zero stars, I would.
