It isn’t just what Dr. Lenhart knows and does - it’s what he teaches us. We learn so much every time we are there and that makes us better horse people. My mom was worried about her horse coughing so she called the vet. The vet was all about saying her trips by doing things today instead of coming back a bunch of times. All of our questions were answered and the price was fair.

My 12 yr old QH had right front lameness for 15 months, had seen 3 vets and at least 4 others had reviewed his x-rays and no one could tell me what the problem was until Dr. Lenhert. He took one look at the x-rays and said "There's no mystery about what's wrong with your horse." He was absolutely right and within 4 days my horse wasn't lame anymore. After I left his office, I realized I hadn't asked him more than a couple of questions and then realized it was because Dr. Lenhert was so complete in his explanation of everything and it was in language anyone could understand. He is a kind, compassionate man and I won't hesitate to take the 2 hour drive to see him whenever necessary. Cara C.

Best lameness specialist this side of the Rockies. This vet is amazing, he's a straight shooter, will tell you the good or bad news about the soundness of your horse compassionately, and is NEVER wrong. I have been taking my horses to him for years, and he's never been wrong. He watches out for your pocketbook, will tell you what's worth investing in a horse and what's not, and ways to treat the horse that will save you money. Also treats other horse issues and does routine services. His charges are reasonable, he takes time to explain things in layman's terms, and he has a heart of gold.
