I’m in total shock right now and do not know what to do. My dog started bleeding from his butt and screaming in pain. I rushed him to this hospital and agreed to pay an emergency/ walk in fee for him to be seen. The doctor evaluates him and informs me that the dog needs an x-ray. I say okay fine, and the lady brings me an invoice to sign That listed the emergency / walk in fee plus the cost of the x-ray. Came to somewhere around the neighborhood of $350.I wait outside for The results to come back. The doctor tells me that they look relatively clear, but he wanted to keep him overnight and give him an IV for hydration.(The dog had diarrhea). I said OK, and they brought in an invoice that now totaled to 600 and something.I told the lady OK is he gonna need medication because this is kind of at my limit let’s say 650. She tells me that they will contact me in the morning and let me know if any more tests are needed and give me the final cost but that’s the price right now I said OK fine. The next morning, I called to see how he was doing and was told that he was doing well, seemed to be improving slightly. However, the doctor wanted to watch him for the remaining of the day I said fine.I get to the hospital at around 6:00 PM the to pick the dog up and they hand me an invoice for $1100. I told her that I was under the impression that it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $600. They totaled both The initial bill I received for 300 something and the last bill I got for 600 something. I left that first night believing I owed them 600.I feel so stupid and taken advantage of. I absolutely believed that when she handed me the second bill for 600 That the original bill for 300 had grown to a little over 600. I expected to walk out, paying roughly 700 not 1100.I told her that I could not pay that amount all at once. I would’ve adjusted the care or looked for other options. I asked why she didn’t call me and Tell me I was now at 1100. I was never presented with a combined total of that much until I went to pick him up. The receptionist would not release the dog and they are going to charge me an additional $60 per day that I can’t get him. At an absolute loss right now. They have my little buddy and I have no idea how this will turn out.

Just went in with my foster dog and saw Dr.Velasco it was the worst experience ive ever had i had my 1 year old daughter on me in a baby carrier he asks “is that your kid?” And says “she’s pretty good looking “ very creepy then he says that the gsd is bad behaved he didnt bark or nip he was just trying to get away he has a hematoma and is scared not once did he try to get up from his stool to get a better look he wanted the dog to sit where it was comfortable for himself , then he didnt want to explain to the rescue why he recommended anesthesia he slammed my phone on the counter and left saying he's not doing it .short tempered for working with vulnerable animals

They were able to fit me in right away when my dog appeared very ill. They were professional, kind, and compassionate. The vet answered all my questions and went over options for my dog. Facility very clean and staff appeared very organized.

Honestly so disappointed. Had an appointment at 11:40, didn’t receive my dog until 3:40. For a simple x ray, no emergency visit, no life-threatening emergency, simply an x ray for her puppies she is expecting. I understand an emergency came up, but I waited 3 hours for her until they finally told me there was an emergency that caused delay. Fine. Understandable, but to charge me an extra fee, 8$ that was supposed to be removed, and I had to let them know it was a mistake is ridiculous. They then gave me my dogs leash backed SOAKED IN PEE! And didn’t tell me. What a joke. Literally horrible, I wasted all my day here and I am late for work. I went to a 2 star animal hospital and they treated me better than this. Everyone that came in at the same time as me in the morning, left before an hour after. Horrible horrible, almost 400$ for this treatment.

I cannot thank Dr. Anderson and the entire team enough for taking care of my little pup. He came down with parvo and they gave him the best care possible. I got multiple daily updates during his hospitalization, and everyone I spoke to was always so caring. The wait time can feel a little long, but it's worth it to be seen by people I trust. We'll be going here for as long as we're in the area for all of his wellness and preventative care.

We took our lab in for constant itching and a growth on his mouth. He got one shot and all itching stopped. The growth is not cancer. Dr. Velasco is the best.

Been going here for years. Great place, great advice. Definitely get the PetsPage app to view details of your pets vaccination due dates and appointments you set. Can also request from the app as well. They take care credit as well.
