I only spoke to a woman on the phone. I felt she was a little rude and short, but it could have just been an off day. It wasn't anything over the top. Just seemed to be lacking a willingness to help and empathy for the situation.

Beagles and Buddies has nothing but love for animals. They do everything in their power to do what they can for these dogs. Making sure they are spayed/neutered, have all their shots before leaving, deworming, bordatella.. even sometimes with the little help they receive, they would even take it out of their own pockets. The director is amazing and manager is absolutely wonderful. Not to mention the trainer who may be young but, ive never seen someone so good with dogs. The volunteers are great, but more are always needed!Recommended please, please donate and help adopt out these furbabies!!

The beagle in my logo was Roxie, who I adopted from you in 2012. Unfortunately she passed away from bladder cancer in 2019. After her passing I adopted Cali a lemon beagle from you who I still have. She is the most affectionate dog I have ever had. Here is a recent photo of her and me.

I have rescued 3 Beagles from Beagles and Buddies and I am so grateful for them! We adopted one Beagle from them that passed away right before Covid. Then we adopted a bonded pair of Beagles from them in 2020. My experience with Beagles and Buddies has always been very positive and I was VERY surprised to read unfavorable reviews. I wondered if they were reviewing the wrong facility? I have learned to take some reviews with a grain of salt and see the facility and people for myself. All of the dogs that I saw at Beagles and Buddies looked well cared for and the staff were all friendly. I think their website is great and they have photos and information about the dogs on the website.

Great place to adopt!I just adopted an adorable English bulldog pitbull mix from them one mo th ago.I had to fill out an application, and was able to see 3-4 dogs during my hour long appointment. At the time I was sure of my decision but wanted to sleep on it, the staff obliged and the next week I had Frida at home with me. The full time and volunteer staff are top notch.Highly recommend!

When i first met my Patty Cakes at Beagles and Buddies she was absolutely filthy. her feces was matted to her ass and was coughing basically nonstop while she was awake. (two vet visits later and we are still treating her cough) She looked lethargic, frightened, and sick. How much was her adoption fee? $400. I understand fees to insure their health and care, and I would have had no problem making that payment, but the money obviously doesn't go towards the care of the animals, so where does it go? Patty-cake's petfinder profile advertised good health and clean teeth (she has exactly zero of them). we were lied to by this "rescue" and i know pat pat isn't the only one suffering at the hands of their neglect. we're slowly but surely nursing her back to health, and i can't wait to spoil her for the rest of her life. Connie Kramer (the director of b&b) is an abuser. plain and simple. the shelter's previous el monte location actually got shut down for poor conditions and foul odor complaints. previous volunteers have spoken out about the abuse at b&b; confirming the conditions i assumed by patty's appearance. I expect a response from connie. please tell me how you looked into her eyes and let her walk around your shit filled house hacking her lungs out for a YEAR. i want to believe you started this rescue with good intentions and got overwhelmed, but if you actually care for these dogs you will do something. or they will die. Be very wary of this "rescue." The only reason i'm not fighting to completely shut this place down is because i know the animals housed there will go to kill shelters. Do better.

I gave up a dog due to personal issues. I met the director of beagles and buddies.. was not satisfied on how she talks to her customers let alone how she treats her staff. one of the workers pulled me aside and apologized. I too struggle with BPD and I've never taken it out on people I don't know. ridiculous.

My friend called and made an appointment to meet with a dog. The care of the dogs was not the best. They had dogs with distemper in general population and the conditions were very poor. They wanted her to pay more than a thousand for a dog and it was 5-8 years old. She will not be going back. Very heartbroken and sad for these poor animals.

Beagle and buddies rescue helps so many dogs that would never have a chance at a shelter, some of these dogs get rehabilitated and find they're forever home.B&B also has many dog breeds. If you're a teenager this is a great place to volunteer. I know that because I was a volunteer.

Attempted to surrender my pet do to complications with him, my son and smaller older dog. However requiring a "Donation" is a bit counter intuitive. I am more than willing to give during or once our business is complete but to be asked right out to give a "Donation" or we cant be seen is a bit outlandish and down right disgusting. At this point I might as well have just paid a surrender fee.
