Was hoing to go there? And finally retired and driving again to go without begging my son fir a ride. But after seeing all these bad reviews about grumpy people who volunteer in a thrift store that seems to be part of a senior group is ridiculous. But the 1 or 2 that really got me was the one where the managers made. The lady have seizures and tend to go to the hospital. Cause she allegedly perfect just tonight.I didn't mean I guess the manager didn't want date Adam to go over.Maybe wanted it for herself.
And they seem to have no Except for the people who are gonna come in and purchase things which makes no sense.Because it seems like the third store probably supports their senior's group. Shameful way to act and I did look at the dates. The older who's in the neighbors are bad.Very sure people said anything good about it and even the pricing is too high.
When I first saw that, I thought that might be a senior script.I don't want to join bed not anymore.

This place has the most awful "volunteer "manager in all of the High Desert! I donate my time and craft to elderly, special needs, and single parent households. I am an interior decorator and home stager. I provide my services to my clients free of charge because ,they are all on fixed incomes. I purchase items from thrift stores, garage sales, private sellers and Apple Valley Senior Thrift Store, eliminating some of the expenses for my clients. The" volunteer "manager"accused me of changing the prices of the items I wanted to purchase for one of my clients "surprise "living room redo". I have never felt so insulted in my entire life! I asked her to play the cameras and prove what she accused me of,she refused and yelled, " just get outta my store"! It would take a couple of days before we can play the cameras, and I was done with you when you first walked in"! This individual would get upset whenever I would find a bargain and she would question her own handwriting .I have donated and shopped at this store for quite sometime now, but, whenever this "manager" was present, she would cause so much chaos with me. As always,I stay calm, buy my items and leave. She got upset when I asked her to test a hand mixer I wanted to purchase, her assistant yelled,"WE TESTED ALL ITEMS ! Today she refused to sell me the items for my client and pointed at the sign,"WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE"and did not let me purchase the items for my client. I spoke with the manager of the SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER,(Ed)(they are in charge of the thrift store). I explained my ordeal to him and asked him what warranted her behavior towards me,he said,he would find out. I gave him my information and he later called me and said to me ,"two volunteers had a problem with you",shop somewhere else"! I'm mortified! Now,I know how my great grandparents felt when they were refused service

Wow group of the rudest old people ever. Told my grandmother before she passed they would take all of her donations. Got there and wanted to cherry pick and leave the rest. They were not not even remotely nice about anything. I recommend taking your donations just down the street to Wild Goose vintage and thrift. They are actually good people that run an actual nonprofit for seniors. They are also 100 times more supportive of the community.

My mother and I had a traumatizing experience at this thrift store and it was all thanks to the store manager. My mother and I were shopping, she made a purchase of an item that was for sale for an amount of $20 and was reduced to 50%. Shortly after my mother had purchased and had been given the item in a bag, the manager walked in and asked the employee what had happened to the item my mother purchased. The employee told the manager my mom had already purchased it. The manager demanded to see the item and wrongfully accused my mother of purchasing an item that was not for sale. She even went as far as to snatch it from her hand. The employee was scared and apologized to my mother. My mother became extremely stressed and began having trouble breathing which ultimately led to her having a seizure. She passed out and seized twice, and we had to call an ambulance and the police to assist us. Once we called an ambulance and the police, the manager's whole attitude seemed to change, which made me even angrier. Why did it take a medical emergency for her to treat my mother with basic human decency? In all honesty, I would absolutely recommend avoiding this thrift store, unless you want to subject yourself to the terrible behavior and carelessness of the manager.

Drove by, giant sign says open. Pull in, 3 more signs say open. Big sign says 30% off on Sundays. Yay, it’s Sunday. Closed. Ugh

The staff seems so unhappy to be working here. This place has really gone downhill in the last few years as far as customer service. I will come in and look around once in a while but not nearly as much as I used to and I don't donate to this thrift anymore. There are several great thrifts nearby that I give to now.

Went in for the first time (on a Saturday) and the volunteers were very friendly and helpful. Didn't realize they close at 2 but we made our purchase on the dot and the gentleman volunteer helped my mom and I out to the car with our items. Very good finds and prices there, looking forward to visiting again, thank you!

This store has turned into a real joke. It used to have such great prices but now the prices they are asking is unbelievable even higher than the Goodwill rip-off prices. I used to donate there but will no more. Most of the time they aren't accepting donations anyway due to no room but its no wonder due to their laughable prices. However if you like to listen to a bunch of gossiping and rude old people then this is the place to hang for awhile.

On the positive side, this store receives some some very nice donations and has ONE nice volunteer, but this is where the goodness of this store ends. It's perplexing why they have chosen to have a misleading ongoing "sale" of 50 percent off everything in store that has been going on for a solid year. For example if they want to sell an item for $20, they mark it up to $10 . I guess they have high overhead in spite of the grumpy volunteer staff. Oh I have never seen such a group of unpleasant volunteers. Since the pandemic, the store hours are five hours a day only three days a week. It used to be a better store but volunteers were always notoriously grumpy and unpleasant. There are better second hand places to shop in the immediate area. Too bad as this place has potential.

My friend and I went to the thrift yesterday to look for a mens suit for a wedding we are attending 9/10.....We found the perfect suit after trying it on in the dressing room.....We directly went to the counter to pay for it....it was our understanding the suit was $10 and 50% off wheich made it only $5....the man behind the counter said it was $42 ....which was the size of the suit written in masking tape on the matching pants.....This old man said ,"first of all we don't sell complete mens suits here anyway and he was not going to sell it to us.....After 15 minutes of loud drama for many to hear....he dropped it on the floor and I ended up having to pull it away from his arms and he finally sold me the suit.....It all turns out after all the tension , that I could have purchased the pants for $2.50 and the jacket for $2.50.....but not the entire matching suit for $5 ?????.....I said I would never come back and this old man said , WE DONT NEED YOUR BUSINESS !!!!! After going there for 30 years and donating to the shop.....everyone knew my Mother and my Mother-in-Law.....I cannot believe the rudeness and sheer meanness of some people.....I would never recommend this store to anyone and I'm telling my friends too to never go there !!!

This place is the worst! Rude man at the front register got in fights with several people. Overpriced. They think they're fooling everybody by putting half off everything in the store every day but they're not.
