Black women and women of color, please be aware that when you visit this shop, you may not receive the same level of urgency as white women. This is my second time coming here for a pedicure and manicure. Typically, nail salons will do both services simultaneously, but they insisted on doing them separately, even after I asked to have them done at the same time.
However, a white woman is a walk in (not appointment ) was immediately attended to with urgency. Spend your money where you are valued as a customer! I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

I have come here twice and left happy as a clam! I have my next appointment on Tuesday. I have only gotten acrylic and have only gone to Alvin and he absolutely does not disappoint!!
I showed him what I was wanting thinking it wouldn't be 100% like the picture (minus length and style) and he got it to look EXACTLY like the photo!
As long as I live in the High Desert I will only be going to Alvin!!

Clean and neat salon with lots of comfy pedicure massage chairs. Employees are friendly and there are good color options. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking a good gel pedicure. Free parking lot right outside and the salon is large and roomy. I got my favorite pink sparkles on my toes! 5/5 enjoy!

Love the ambiance it's so chill, and so relaxing. I came to get a pedicure and I got the 30$ one and it's very a lot for your buck! I enjoyed my foot massage and the back massage from the chair! Steven was the nail tech that helped me out today, he is so sweet and kind! Highly recommend.

I walked in on a Sunday for a pedicure. Brought my own nail polish. Gentleman who did my service was tall with short salt & pepper hair. A year ago a podiatrist cut out an ingrown nail from my left big toe. It is growing out. The tech decided to cut into it more. I told him I already had surgery on it and to let it grow out but he acted like he didn't hear me. And I wasn't quiet about it either. He also flooded my cuticle when he painted my nails. He went back with a clean up brush but it left the polish lumpy. The lighting is also way too bright here; it actually caused me to get a migraine in the middle of my service. Otherwise I would have said something but I just wanted to get out of there. The next weekend I went to my regular place to fix this mess (which is closed on Sundays). I went here hoping to find a place open on Sundays. Never again.

This is my gel manicure after one week. It cost me $70. My thumb polish started chipping after two days. I have never seen gel this terrible. It looks grown out, sloppy, everything is either peeling or chipping, I would not recommend going here

Decided to try this salon since it was so much closer to my home. First visit was for a fill & polish for a wedding I was attending. Owner was very nice & greeted me with a smile. Tech was 20 minutes late and the owner kept apologizing. The tech finally showed but seemed frazzled. Service was acceptable and I left. Husband had a pedicure & was satisfied but said it wasn't as good as our regular salon....plus a lot more expensive. Returned 3 weeks later to give them another try. This time, a new tech seemed uninterested in engaging, mediocre service...I wasn't impressed. Husband had another pedicure with the same feeling. Both times, our combined services were a total of $20 more than our usual salon 8 miles away. We will go back to our old salon where I've been a customer for over 15 years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it !!! Alvin's is good....just not great. My personal opinion, as I was a nail tech for many years.

I called and asked them if they could fix a nail that was pressing on my toe and causing discomfort. They said they could not help me. I went somewhere else that fixed it right away without a fuss.

Not going back ! The staff was rude and we actually watched two different arguments we couldn't understand. One girl left during her session cause they cut her , she was bleeding and two workers started arguing about it . Then while my husband and I were getting our toes done the wax spilled over and we watched two different employees argue . Then after my toes were the guy was rude and shut off the massage chair and handed me my purse like get out ! Not impressed and not going back !

Today was another good day at Alvin's. Solid pedicure and only $30. I don't do gel nails. I can't have the massage because of nerve damage, but once I can, I definitely will.
