My vehicle lost almost all of its power so I took it to Mario at 5 Star. He originally diagnosed the problem as the throttle body needing replacement, cost being $1,000. I could barely afford that but I needed my vehicle so I agreed to have the work done. After the throttle body was replaced my vehicle still had the same problem. Mario suggested we send my car to his electrical guy so he could take a look at it. This was going to cost another $225 plus whatever other repair was necessary. I didn't have the money for that. I had no choice but to have him take the new throttle body out and put the old one back. At this point I'm back where I started without a vehicle. I went to pick up my vehicle and Mario told me that my car was running and now had full power. He had one of mechanics take a 2nd look at it and there was a loose wire that was causing the loss of power. All I had to pay was the diagnostic and oil change. THIS SAVED ME! My car was fixed and I didn't have to pay $1,000! Mario could have given me my car back in the same condition it was in and not taken the time to investigate further. That's what I expected and that would have been fair. He took the extra time to have his mechanic take another look and made my year! He could have left the new throttle body in after he discovered the loose wire and charged me the initial $1,000 quoted and I would have been happy. He didn't do that, he was honest and did what was best for me instead of making money. I would suspect maybe he made no money on the work he did for me or even lost money. My biggest fear when I take my car into a mechanic is that I will be taken advantage of. I know less about cars than anyone I know and I'm sure I have been taken advantage of. Not by 5 Star Transmissions, that's for sure. Thank You Mario! Customer for life.

5 Star Transmission was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about my transmission leak that thankfully turned out to be oil not transmission fluid caused by another garage. From now on they are my go-to repair for my car needs.

As an automotive repair company owner in Texas, I was very pleased with the amazing and fast work they did. I took a trip out to California to see family and my transmission went out on me. They got my truck into the shop the same day and had it back to me 5 days later, which is faster than any other shop quoted me. They were also the best value for my money as they rebuilt the whole transmission for the same price as another shop was going to charge me just to replace a few components. I have driven 4000 miles so far, and the transmission is better than the day I bought my truck. Thank you for the amazing customer service and the fast and reliable repair.

My vehicle was shifting rough and I had thought the transmission was broken. But I took it here and they checked every part of the transmission and kept me up to date on my car whenever they found out new info. It turned out to be my transmission computer that was the problem. It took about 2 weeks (because we had to wait for a part to ship) and my car was working like new. The staff are very friendly and informative. Would definitely come back!

Took in my Silverado with a 4L60 for a complete rebuild got my truck back running amazing hauls great temp don’t rise do to Mario’s knowledge and recommending a transmission cooler beyond satisfied everyone in that shop are extremely professional, work areas are clean and employees are friendly but respectful.
