Went in with simple questions & inquiries about purchasing ammunition as an individual with no experience or knowledge around that & staff was extremely dismissive, I waited at the counter for several minutes, the woman who came to ‘help’ was robotic & rude, & ultimately resulting in a huge waste of time & no information gained

Went in to get some gloves for my son and the gentlemen at the front searched boxes for 15 minutes to help me find a pair of football gloves that fit. Excellent customer service. I will be returning in the future!

I asked an employee about batting gloves & as I proceeded to go look, I could blatantly overhear the staff asking if the gloves had sensors on them. I find it extremely rude and ill mannered with the way that was brought about and having the nerve to be dismissive when I commented about it. Unfortunately can't help but feel disappointed at the fact this staff can't see past an appearance. It's tacky and unprofessional, should go over ethics training again because it's not that hard to be a decent person.

In Somersville most businesses in the immediate area are open by 9am but Big 5, as on Lone Tree, doesn't open until 10am. People looking for Athletic or Sporting Gear are generally earlier risers.

I have to say I was pleased with Big 5 - they had exactly what I was looking for. The store had a lot of inventory and the employees were very pleasant. The store itself was clean and organized. I recommend going here if your in the need of some sporting goods.

My husband came in to size the DeWalt Truss Men's Work Boots on ONE DAY for $68.He asked for a size 11 and a size 12 for size. The size 11 were clearly purchased and worn, then returned (the soles were dirty outside of the normal scope of "trying on") - these would have been boots that when returned, should have been sent in with unsellable merchandise. Now, my husband is a practical man and convinced himself that if they could adjust the pricing to compensate for the time and gas it would take to go to the Pittsburg location, he would just buy them. They offered him a discount that was $0.10 difference from the one day deal.Mind you, he wasn't mad, just disappointed that the ONLY size 11 that they had had been returned and that the customer service was only worth $0.10.He ended up driving to Pittsburg and picking up a pair there. This is not really a rant over $0.10, it's more that they KNEW those shoes had been removed from the store and returned worn and didn't follow their own protocol. There's a reason that Big 5 has expectations when shoes are returned and in this case, that was not followed.I'm sorry I didn't get pictures of the boots but they know which ones they are and what they look like - Antioch manager please fix this for future customers.

Of the 3 employees I interacted with only 1 tried to help me after waiting quite a while. Cashier seemed to be bothered that I wanted to pay for something. It's a shame I can't go somewhere else, oh yeah I can.

Every time I purchase something on sale, they don't ring the sale price. I always have to tell them it's "on sale"!Ariana, the cashier kinda irritated and had an attitude when I told her it's on sale. She replied, "it's on the paper" (she was not happy). My point...if we don't tell the cashier it's on sale, you'll pay regular price. It should be in their system or they should check their list.
