Recently I was the pet sitter for my daughter’s dog while she was on a long planned month away from the states. He had been a family dog as well before she finished school & moved out taking him with her. He was a treasured pet.
Needless to say he became very ill & needed surgery. His regular vet was unable to do the surgery, but Dr. Fassino here at Antelope was able to do it. The quality of care from every person at this office was above & beyond what I have experienced with other practices in the past. Even the way they held our dog when they took him from my arms was so gentle & nurturing that he lost his fear of going to the vet. I am so grateful for the care he received!
One more thing. We had multiple emergencies with our dog & they never turned us away. That meant that sometimes regular appts. had to wait past their scheduled appt. time. I am so sorry that our dog’s emergency caused you to wait. Please just remember if you are waiting it is because something out of their control was happening. They know how to plan their day, but they can’t plan for the emergencies that crop up. I promise that I will wait for your dog when their time comes. Let’s all remember to be kind to each other & how fleeting all life is: for us & our pets.

Don has been amazing to work with. We have two dogs a 4 year old French bull dog and a 2 year old Boston / French mix. Both dogs have been through basic petco training and know sits and stays only when treats were used. After having a new baby in the house we needed someone who could help us learn methods to teach the dogs obedience and behavioral training for our everyday life. Before don, our French bull dog was refusing to walk out past the garage , I would have to drag him down the street. Walks were getting miserable. My Boston would constantly be running and jumping on guests as well as the French bull dog sitting on guests and needing all do the attention. my husband and I would usually be distracted hosting, as we'd be running back and forth to try and get them to calm down. . Since our training with don we have been able to take them on vacation and have people over (even children) with the dogs staying calm and manageable. Our French bull dog started walking again (it had been 1.5 years since I could get him to go on walks normally!!) I was amazed at how calm and obedient they have become, as well as the skill set my husband and I have learned to train them. I want to say it's literally been a miracle, as they were getting unmanageable as our lives were starting to get busier. They have been awesome at sitting calmly and staying when guests come over as well as when my husband and I want calm time in the evenings or are feeding the baby . Walks are amazing now, they both actually walk and keep going with us without stopping or dragging them- or them pulling us! (Amazing) . The only regret I have is not hiring don sooner, and saving my money on all the rewards (treats) based training.
